So 2006 is comming to a close have you reached your hair Goals?

One of the hair goals was to have healthy hair and I can indeed say it is healthy from when I first started my hair journey in '03-'04. I now trying to fill in my edges/halo and try to get to APL by my birthday May 2007.

Yes, I have definitely reached my hair goals. My goal when I joined a year ago was to learn how to take care of my hair. I was tired of the breakage, and the dull look. Fast forward now, I have very little breakage and my hair is healthy. I have found products and techniques that work for me, and I couldn't be happier. I am not caught up with the length of my hair for now because my #1 priority is healthy hair, the length will come.

Yes, I did and Im so excited about that!!! My goal was to reach BSL and also to have thicker hair, and ive attained both!!!!

You are getting close, keep up the good work.

It looks to me like you're alittle past APL cause in your pic your ponytail is APL.
Cholet I've got a newsfalsh: You've reached APL already, so what your next goal?
Nice growing ladies.

Well for the most part i reached my goals, except the goal that I reaaaaaally wanted to reach, which was BSL length. I didnt make it because i got off of the Pill in Feb and because of the hormonal adjustment, I swear my hair grew soooo slowly for an entire 8 months, like .25 inch per month... and it was shedding badly. Plus a whole year of weekly blowdrying and wearing my hair out daily...my hair suffered alot of breakage and dryness. I have switched to weekly rollersets and using henna and now my hair is FINALLY back to normal growing and it isn't shedding or breaking badly anymore. Yay!

Yes- 1st goal APL by Feb 06
Yes- thicker even hair (slowly dusting thin ends)
Yes-healthier hair (thanks to henna, i have minimal breakage and shedding)
No- BSL hair by Dec06. I just had Mizani_Mr trim an inch to make my hair even for the new year. I am just past a full APL (which was a disappointment), but I have maybe 1.5inches to go to reach BSL...

It was a ROUGH year but i feel i have finally found my staples and my routine and there isn't a need to overdo it and try everything... thank God!

yes healthy hair wise...
close to my length goal of bsl before chopping it off. Im happy with my new length and anxious about my transition to natural.
This year was all about experimenting for me. :)

Yes, my goal since 2004 was to go back to my natural hair and almost 2 years later I made it happen. Hope 2007 is even better in all areas for all of us :)

No not even close. I wanted growth...., and was totally convinced that my hair did not change since I started with LHCF because I have not seen any growth at all. But after doing a comparison (in my ziggy), I realize that my hair has only grown healthier but not longer. I am looking forward to some length in 2007.

None of these choices below applies to me.

Me-

1. Yes on staying away from the heat.
2. Yes APL
3. No-Not BSL
4. Wearing more protective styles

My goal for all shoulder lenght: NO

Healthy hair: Yes!!! :)

I am very happy with the health of my hair...it's thickening up..and it's growing. I didn't reach my hair length goal I set but I am okay with that.

my hair has made a big 360 from July 1st when I discovered the boards.

I'm satisfied but will strive for more in '07.

Lengthwise, I'm nowhere near any of my hair goals. But healthwise, my hair is 200% better. I grew back 2 bald spots and a thinning hairline. My hair is also much stronger and thicker, so it responds to hair products better. For 2007, I just want to finish my transition with enoughy hair to adopt the C & G routine.

Nope. I'm so close to BSL I can taste it. But it doesn't matter b/c my ends need to be trimmed b/c I didn't take care of them. :( So, half of the progress that I made this year will be lost. Oh well, I'll be going on an unofficial no heat challenge this year to get myself back on track.

I reached and passed my goal for 2006 to be at BSL. After cutting it to past APL last month I am happy with the progress that I have made towards a thicker more even BSL. I also stuck to my protective styles for basically the whole year only wearing my hair out for maybe 1-2 weeks during the whole year.

When I joined LCHF I gave myself until December 2008 to reach BSL. I tried to allow for trimming and unpleasant surprises. Well, the flatiron turned unpleasant, and my ends started sticking together like velcro:mad:

But, I'm APL now, my hair is soft (for a 5z that is) and it's healthy. So I'm on target.

Oh my bad....I did achieve another goal. I got to waist length in 2006 before I decided to go back to natural...so two goals were achieved. :)
