Gee, why do i feel like im letting everyone down? most people are saying dont do it. i actually feel bad for thinking about altering my natural hair, but i also feel bad dealing with my natural hair. (still thinking about it) i was thinking about buying a box of "just for me" mix some olive oil in it, And just DOING IT.

Girl, PLEASE don't feel like you're letting down ladies that you don't even know. LOL!! I personally feel that most of our opinions are biased; natural ladies say stay natural, relaxed ladies say relax. So don't feel like you're letting anyone down. In my thread, most people told me not to relax, too. But I did what was best for ME, and I'm happy I did.

If you feel relaxed/texlaxed hair suites your lifestyle better right now, do it, and don't feel bad about it. If you feel you wanna keep being natural and just try different things, do it, and don't feel bad about it.

I do see that you've only been on the board since November though. Have you looked at the millions of threads on natural hair?? There are plenty of natural ladies with great fotkis that could help you.

Yes please listen to the bolded. You have to do what works for you alone.

if you are sure you want to relax then do it
its your hair

just make sure you're 100% certain
think about it for a week to make sure that you really want to do it
think of the pros and cons for you and do your research and by then you should know

if you do, post pics and i hope you find something that makes you happy

OT: Girl that 3rd day wash n go is gorgeous!!!! :yep:

I voted, "NO," that is UNLESS YOU ARE 100% sure! If I were you, I would sleep on the idea and really think about it for a few days...even a week. That way, you will know that it's not just spur of the moment frustration talking or hair porn influencing the decision.

I did TL my hair after being natural for a few mos, but only cuz I needed to for convenience (newborn at home). My hair was actually not that hard to manage (I could only use shampoo, no condish and run a comb thru it smoothly afterwards). I did regret the TL after, because here I am, transitioning AGAIN now that I have more time to devote to hair needs.

Oh, and I agree with the others who say don't worry about letting ppl on this board down. They don't know you, and besides, it's YOUR HAIR. Heck, I wouldn't feel that way...

Bottom line, it's not our decision to make. It's yours. You'll get opinions of both sides. You can't make everyone here happy...and why would you want to?

As long as you're happy with what you decide, people being let down will not matter.

thanks...<--this is my face when i do my hair. flatirons will take out my hair. rollersts eh dont want to talk about them because they do nothing....

ive dont all the natural styles, twistouts, buns, what else is there? im bored out of my mind already with this hair... i dont want to sound down but i am. i know i should be happy have alot of hair but whats the point of having alot of hair if i dont know what to do with it>???
Girl, I get bored ALL THE TIME with natural hair styles. :yep: That's why I'm glad natural hair is versatile to do so many styles. Just recently, I tried to stick with a bun challenge and ended up only doing that for a month. After washing my hair, I blowdried and flat-ironed it. Soon, I know I'll get bored with my straightened natural hair.

I just don't think texturizing your hair will make you less bored with your hair. But as KCurly has expressed, it's your decision with what you want to do about your hair.
