hello beautiful lhcf ladies, I have a dilema I texlaxed my hair and the first day it came out great, the second day stilol good, but around the 5th day or so its started to revert again what should I do my 21st b'day is this weeekend and i really wanted to wear my hair curly with min. frizz, would re-doing it be too damaging please help im desperate :drunk: lol

What makes you think that it reverted? Maybe you just some more moisture and curl defining products to eliminate frizz

Maybe you can wash, rollerset and flat iron roots on your b'day or the day before. Or rock a curly style. Why do you think it reverted?

It has super frizz and parts of it are not even straighter do you think i didnt keave it on long enough?

I think you did'nt leave it on long enough. When I get mine texlaxed, he applies it through the whole NG, then sets the timer to 5 minutes. I get a pretty good, lasting result with that.

Are you looking for a curly look? I still need more info. For me, my texlaxed hair was awesome. I could rock a wash n go and still get strait hair. I really had no clue on how to style my texlaxed hair. I thought it reverted early and retouched too much. That led to breakage and I relaxed my hair fully. Your post did not give me enough info to see if I could give you helpful advice. Whatever you do, please don't retouch your hair right away. Your hair may process more than what you want. What products are you using? How do you want to wear your hair?

Double post. Sorry.

yes I want a washn go look and a straight look, I applied it in sections and rinsed in sections, but I believe i didnt leave it in long enough :/

Yea, sounds like you didn't leave it on long enough. When I use to texlax--I found that after about a week or two, especially the first wash, was when the REAL results would show itself. When you first do it, the curls are a little looser than how they will ultimately end up.

You could do it as soon as you want really. Me personally, would probably give my scalp a few days rest before doing it.

really? ok i just dont want to risk over- processing any tips for next time?

There's a thread about doing corrective relaxers if you look through the stickies at the top.
