I feel soooo bad for poor Zoe....

I think she is beautiful. Or maybe its because she is pretty and petite.
(Please dont crucify me for saying that, I just like to see girls that are petite like me. That I am a black women and it is ok to be small)

I would be sad honestly if someone openly admited that I am average looking or average anything.

Question Just Came to Mind: If I posted a picture of a LHCF member and I said, "WOW she is gorgeous and I love her hair!", Would you openly admit that you think she is average?

Just Curious, Nothing Personal Against Anyone.

Yes, she's a very beautiful girl :yep:

If that's a weave, she sure had me fooled

No, because that LHCF member would SEE it and be sad, but I don't think anyone is expecting Zoe to be a member here. She might be, who knows.

And people were saying she's cute, but not drop dead gorgeous like people are saying. And I think you'd have to be pretty vain to find that offensive.

I am trying not to insult anyone, but just read the responses and all... its just too silly. You come on a site that is supposed to dispel that type of thinking just to say things like this?

Being mixed race does not make it her real hair. The girl is wearing a weave, possibly a sew in in the back or whatever you do. Having light skin and a caucasian grandpa and this and that does not mean that if she suddenly has WL hair after being SL it is all natural.

And the comment about her mother's hair being pretty "even if it is dreadlocs".... :look:.

Why do you feel bad for Zoe? Shes very pretty but some of us probably think shes cuter that she thinks of herself. I think most people, particularly people in the spotlight know that not everyone thinks they're drop dead gorgeous which is why some celebs choose not to read tabloids, entertainment magazines, or internet gossip sites.

From your avatar, your pic looks really pretty, but Im shocked that you wouldnt expect at least one person in the world to find you average. I think I'm gorgeous and so does my DH, but when I walk out of my house, cars dont pile up into 20 car collision because everyone is peepin me. Men do approach at times, women do compliment me, but when I walk in a room, I do not expect EVERYONE to think that Im drop dead gorgeous, though some will. I thought that almost everyone has liked someone who didnt like them back for some reason:look:. Maybe Im wrong though.

I think people are assuming that this is her hair but I been seeing this chick every since she was a little girl because I am a huge LK fan and alot of people are seeing her, really seeing her now for the first time, and I'm telling you guys, THIS IS NOT HER HAIR.

SHE IS WEARING A WEAVE

And what does this still say about some of us huh? I mean believing this could possibly be her hair because she mixed? Funny how some of us are still hanging on to those kinds of deep thoughts. All mixed people don't automatically have "good" or long hair. Look at her fathers'.

My thoughts exactly.:nono:

Well... me saying that I would be sad was more of a mental thought. You cant tell me if a pictue of you was posted and someone was like, "She Aight!" You wouldnt be get in your feelings and THINK, "Who in the H*LL asked you anything?":lachen:

I dont think everyone thinks I am prettiest girl. But to voice it if I was in the area would be harsh.

I am not saying she is on this board but if she was, and if I were her, I would probably feel kinda bad and everyone wouldnt just agree that I was gorgeous or just not say anything all time.

You understand what I am saying?

As for the hair, I REP ALL MY WEAVE WEARING.

:lachen::lachen::lachen:LOL. I sho would. Its happened before - I overheard some guys in school talking about me. 2 were basically complimenting me and the other (idiot:yep:) was like: "dang, why ya'll jockin her? She's alright, but shes not as tight as you're trying to make her out to be." They didnt know that I could hear it, but I was like - WTH? I guess my point is that Im not shocked if someone thinks Im just average. But I get what you're saying..moreso a matter of being hurt than shocked. Gotcha!!!!

Thats sad but funny. I would have probably been mean to him from then on out. He wouls be like, "Why she acting like that? What I do to her?"

But yeah thats what I mean. Not that they think it, just that I heard them say it.

i'm sorry i have to jump in & say their is still a lot of ignorance out there even tho we've been so educated on this site...

It's true not all biracial individuals don't have loose wavy hair & whatnot i am clearly proof of that but lenny's hair is beautiful so why would you say look @ her father's hair?

Also let's be honest w/ ourselves anyone can see this girl is very beautiful if you think otherwise you're probably just hating

It doesn't really matter if it's a weave or not because it looks good & it looks good on her & what's wrong with seeing her as an inspiration? she's in the spotlite so she's not the first one to sport a weave

Honestly it really p*sses me off when people throw these biracial hair misconceptions around... biracial people come in so many shapes, sizes, colors, hair types/lengths, just like black people... i don't have loose wavy hair or blue/green eyes... I have BEAUTIFUL nappy hair & so does lenny

Come on now, you know all light-skinned, mixed folk have that good hurr. :lachen:

And for anyone who didn't catch it, that was a joke.

She's a cute girl... who cares about her hair? If she's not on this board, she's not giving me any hair tips so I don't give a flip:drunk:

I think she is a beautiful woman - great skin, figure and overall great looks - but beauty is really not that extraordinary these days. I mean, how many beautiful women are there walking around!? We see it all the time, so yeah some people will say she is average. But, if you take away her celebrity and just see her as an average chick, I bet money she would get way more attention for her looks than many of the women that cannot just give her props.

She is so Beautiful!!!
as for her hair its pretty. Don't kno if its hers or not. I thought it was but i can't tell.

I don't know if her hair is real in those pics or not. I don't know much about weaves never had one. But for people on this board of all places to say it couldn't possibly be her hair is kinda funny. Maybe she's been slathering her scalp with MTG, MN, amla oil, taking MSM, biotin etc. since the last time she wore her real hair out. :lachen: The "it's only because she's light skinned" comments are irrelevant since we know better (right?).

:clapping:

I couldn't agree more. When I saw the title I expected to see something drop dead gorgeous. She looks average that's all.

See, I think it was all the hype. If I hadn't seen post after post of "she's so beautiful, she's gorgeous!", then I wouldn't have said anything. But since I really didn't see what everyone else did (and I really tried), I simply stated my opinion that I didn't agree, but I do think she's cute and her hair is a nice length.

Since I was the first to say anything against the tide...If 10 people were saying I was gorgeous and beautiful and someone else looked at my picture, and said, "I don't see that at all. I think she's cute, but I don't think she's stunning.", then I wouldn't be hurt. Everyone has preferences and standards and that's perfectly fine.

If they just came out of the blue and told me to my face that I was average looking, then heck yes I'd be hurt. But that's not something I'd ever do to anyone.

I agree with you Lauren, she's not that gorgeous. She's average cute. It's just an opinion. Not that serious. (I think her Mom, however, was gorgeous in her prime--don'rt know what she looks like now).

Yes, Lisa was stunningly beautiful to me. I thought her locks in Enemy of the State were to die for.

I hope this thread isn't a repeat of the Aliyah/jada hair wars, lol :drunk:
And I was naive enough to think the drama would die out with all the race/ir threads, instead it's thick versus skinny and everything else under the sun:lachen::look:.

Well it's been a while since the hairboard has seen some real drama hasn't it?
I bet the hair ladies are wondering who we are:lachen:

I just want to add: Choconilla, your hair is gorgeous. I think that it is kinky, but for some people with kinkier hair, they'll see it as "looser" and not kinky. You deal with your hair, you know how it is. People have that "grass is greener" mentality at times.

As far as Zoe, she's cute. Her hair, weave or not, suits her.

This is OT, but I am sick and tired of people acting like there are ladies on this board that don't frequent all of the topics on here and are very aware of everyone and everything else on here, AS WELL as what is up under the Hair Care topic. It's like people want to think there is some kinda clique made of of people who've risen up and beyond talking about hair. But, then when one of those very same people has a hair problem or whats some positive reinforcement on her progress pics, talking about hair is not all that bad then - let me go talk to the dregs of LHCF society now.

Anyway, I just had to vent.

Its not an act...There are actually people who dont frequent the hairboard on a regular basis, if at all. I dont think that they are "above" it, just over it :look:

I understand that - not my point actually. I just hate the little comments I see about it. People that do frequent the hair care threads, as well as all of the others, see those comments. I see many people in the OT thread that are never in the Haircare. Just like there are some people that I never see in the fitness threads or skincare threads and others but are very active elsewhere. My point is that the comments are kinda rude. But, hey maybe I am the only one that feels that way.

Anyway, totally off topic. I don't want to keep hijacking.

HoneyD where you'd get that from??
The dregs of LHCF society???

I can only talk for myself but it's not like that- at all.
I haven't been on the hairboard for a hot second now and I know others that wouldn't dare step a foot in here(you know who you are!!!:lachen:) but not because we think hair girls are dregs!!!!

We just come here mainly for the entertainment, gossip and bonding.
If anything I feel a bit guilty sometimes because I'm to to lazy to get serious about my hair... on a hairboard.
But then my lazy self takes over again or drama starts popping up somewhere and I just throw my hair in a bun and forget about it.:look:
It's like going to school to see your friends instead to learn something.
