Okay, I have no idea what show you are talking about, but it sounds interesting! What is it?

Yup, I saw it, and I immediately thought about the hair boards. HoneyDew, it was a model selection process that was done by BET. They were doing makeovers on the models and when one of the models took off her wig, her edges were practically non-existant. I felt for her too

lol i had to run to my laptop and post this because i thought of LHCF!! her edges ?? what edges?? there was nothing there !!! oh my gosh and than she had to nerve to say i never allow anyone to be so close to my hair and it all exposed wow!!!

her wig was nice though.. but she should take care of her hair

i saw that too! she is such a gorgeous girl too. the pros could have worked with her right? :ohwell: i was just a little sad to see her go.

but on a lighter note, that other girl's hair (the one who had weave taken out) had some beautiful natural hair!!!! (i was drooling :lachen:) i can't wait until my hair is that long!

ok the light skin girl left the show cause they exposed her hair!!! wow she was pretty too but u can tell she has low self esteem!

She left the show because they wanted to do something "drastic" to her hair and she wanted it left alone... this is why she had it cornrowed under the wig. They should have just gave her a different wig or something.

yea i think she was natural and just kept it cornrowed which i could understand she was not feeling the relaxer or whatever they about to do. And i thought i heard she state she had worked really hard at getting it where it was.

She was very pretty and even with the wig i had no idea that it was a wig i was like wow if i could find a short wig like that and rock it.

The other girl was Louis Farrakans granddaughter she was very pretty but you could tell that she already had some little attitude becuase they had so many models and she hadnt gotten her makeup or hair done.

I saw this show and I had a lot of compassion for her. So sad. Her edges were non-existant.

What I especially didn't like was the hostess bragging about how beautiful her (the hostess) hair was while the young girl (whose edges were broken off) sat next to her helpless. Again. . .so sad & in bad taste.

WHen you have such a gorgeous face, and can rock a short cut... then do so, if it means helping your overall hair health. Shave it off and start over.

Yea, I felt bad for her too. She obviously had self esteem issues, but I think she should have stayed. She seemed like a poor sport quitting all because they were going to change her hair I thought that was part of being a model/actress. She seemed like a poor sport to me on national television

YEA I SAW THAT, i WAS LIKE DAYUM, LOL, BUT FOR REAL SHE SHOULDNT HAVE LEFT THE SHOW SHE WAS SOO PRETTY, AND I WONDER WHAT DRASTIC CHANGE SHE WAS TALKING ABOUT? LIKE WHAT WERE THEY GOING TO DO WITH HER HAIR THAT WAS SOO DRASTIC SHE HAD TO LEAVE, ANWAYS I CANT WAIT TO WATCH THAT SHOW TOMORROW.

I saw it too...I thought that her sides looked shaved. I mean, they were practically bald...no scraggly hairs or nothing. The plus sized model was on a dating show on A&E or Lifetime (?) recently...I just watched it OnDemand (Comcast) last week.

I saw it and it was sad that she was soo pretty but obviously she had very low self esteem issues with her hair. She was rockin' the wig and the wig was cute. Shame she didn't stay and let them work with her

I really don't understand why people are seeing this as a self-esteem issue. :eh:

From what I could tell, her hair had been severely damaged in the past (probably on a modeling job as well) and she was trying to get it back on track by wearing the cornrows under the wig... this is similar to what we do on wig challenges where you just want to leave your hair alone for a while.

She was crying when they were taking the braids out. Now I've no idea what they wanted to do to her hair but I'm guessing it they probably wanted to change the color or relax or both.

Now put yourself in her shoes.. Is it worth a runway gig to let yet another stylist destroy the little hair you have left on your head while you're trying to grow it back? :nono:

They even said her publicist agreed with her that the change to her hair was not worth it just for that one job.

I agree she was really pretty and it was awesome how well that wig looked on her. NOBODY could tell it was a wig.

ok she has very low self esteem. when she took of the wig she was about to break down. no eye contact was giving to the host. she even admitted that she had problems with her hair an on going battle!
