The ends of braids

Does anyone have any advice on what I can put on the end if my braids to stop them from unraveling? Of course rubberbands would work but they'd also rip out my hair. I don't want to have to break out the foil!

Have you tried beads?

Also, if they're synthetic you can tie the hair in a knot.
