wow some of you ladies are troopers, my longest stretch was 4 months and I thought that was something to brag about. yall showed me. I still dont think i have the time to care for my hair the way it needs if i went any longer than 4 months.

I agree...my longest stretch was 4 months too. I would luv to have stretch longer, but my hair began to shed and my new growth was "rough":look:

My longest stretches were during pregnancy (2006 and 2009) but that was before LHCF (I mainly wore braids and weaves). My most recent stretch was 4 months as of Thurs and I am doing a touch up today (yay!).

My longest stretch was 7 months, but I'm not going to do that again. When I hit 4-5 months my hair starts to shed and/or break so that's usually my sign to git-r-done!

I am 17 weeks but plan on relaxing today. Even though managing the new growth has been simple I am seeing breakage...no like!

My longest stretch was 6 months. I relaxed in February. Stretching didn't really benefit my hair, so I'll be relaxing every 10-12 weeks from now on.

Longest stretch was for 20 weeks but that was only because relaxers for me are expensive at the salon (can't do them myself at the moment), but also because im in school and i get them done at home (about 6 hours away lol). I don't think my hair can handle long stretches like that b/c it gets SOOOO tangeled, i can't even detangle it (4B/Z hair); so i may be switching to every 12 weeks; for this current one I have no choice but to go 18, until school lets out, but I do agree - stretching is a great, especially with the shrinkage, its like winning a price once you see ALL THAT LENGTH :D

I think I may revisit the ORS Hair Mayo as my light protein to get rid of these little hairs I see here and there.

Aphogee 2 minute is too strong for my hair, and ORS replenishing pack doesn't really do enough. I hope this works, because I don't need any drama from my hair right now...

My longest stretch was 15 weeks. But I do love stretching and plan to do much longer ones.

I'll be 7 weeks post tomorrow and I'm going for an 18 week stretch. After my touchup in June, I'm not sure when my next touchup will be, but it definetly won't be before my birthday in February 2012, which would put me at 8 months post.

I'm 7 weeks post and hoping to stretch until mid July. The new growth is already intense though so I'm not sure if I will make it but I will certainly try.

I would love to get a relaxer and feel pretty again.

I'm loving the pseudo natchal look, but i'm ready to get back to where I want to be :yep:

Too bad I'm getting a weave for my birthday, and when that comes out, I will be getting another one for an island getaway :ohwell:

So I'm looking at october for a touch up :nono:

I like to try to relax every 5-6 months. I've been looking at a lot of lovely progress from ladies who stretched longer and I'm considering waiting until my birthday, which would put me at 10 months. We shall see!

ETA: BTW, stretching has helped my hair's thickness IMMENSELY. If I had to give one tiny bit of advice to relaxed ladies, it would be to learn how to stretch to at LEAST 4 months/16-18 weeks.

well my longest stretch is right now that i'm almost 33 weeks post...(8months..)! aiming for APL before relaxing..so far so good..!

Wow! Congrats on a long stretch! :yep:

:sekret: Do you have any before & after pics? :lick:

Most Likely I will post pics tomorrow. I took them not to long ago so I have some transferring to do. I got a nice cut and went from my siggy (WL to MBL but with a nice and evened out.

Sounds gorgeous! I can't wait to see it them :yep:

My longest stretch was 16 weeks but I typically can only hang 3 months. I wish I can find a way to deal with the NG but no style disguises my very very thick dry roots. Any style I do results in it sitting on top of the mountain of NG underneath so it looks horrible. I'm considering getting a weave in because it really affects my self esteem when I'm not feeling my hair.

My NG stays dry as the Sahara.

I average about 3 months for my stretches. Made a world of difference in both my length and thickness (formerly a 4-6 week relaxer).

I had problems where the NG was dry n crunchy until I tried the 'Kiya Fizzle'

It told my NG to behave and looks like I freshly relaxed @ 6 weeks post! :drunk:

I am attempting an 18-week stretch to hopefully reach WL by mid-year. I know this is nothing for you, Super Stretchers out there!

I am currently 7 weeks post, and I plan to touchup on July 4th weekend. My longest stretch, so far, has been 15 weeks, and it was a struggle. :nono: As usual, I won't be using any "help," like direct heat, braids, or wigs/weave to get me through. Instead, I plan to do spiral sets, pincurling every night, and redoing them every 2-3 weeks.

Fyne, your hair looks great! Is the KiyaFizzle when you put salt in your conditioner? I've tried that before and it seemed to help with my tangles in the past. That got your NG to behave post wash?
Thank you in advance.

prospurr4 what products do you use on your sets?

I wish I had more flexirods, cause they are so much easier to set than magnetic rollers :yep:
