I was wondering about what would happen to my hair if I put a (text) in my hair instead of putting another (relaxer)? I am about 3 weeks post, because I want to go natural. well the text mess up the natural process?

A texurizer is basically a light relaxer. The only difference is *some* of them is not as strong as relaxers.

You will no longer be considered 'natural.' If you relax/texlax no matter how light or how much curl pattern you have left you will still be relaxed, not natural.

1. You won't be natural with a texturizer. No shame in having a texturizer, just know that it is a chemical treatment that will require touchups.

2. If your hair is currently bone straight and you add a texturizer to only the new growth, you will have 2 textures of hair upon your first treatment and as new growth comes in you will have a 3rd texture. If you are not careful, this is a one way ticket to MASSIVE breakage.

*Note, putting the texturizer over your permed hair will lead to very bad things i.e., breakage, so don't do it.

If you would like to know more about texturizers, use the search function and look for "texturizer" or "texlax" . If you want more info. about going natural, search under 'transitioning' or 'transitioner'.

Yeah, you'd be texlax'd or texturized. You will no longer be natural. What Jcoily said is right on. Even if you don't have straight ends you still may end up with 3 textures. It's not always easy to get consistent results with texturizing. I've texturized a few times now and I still have 3 textures. My first texturizer, my second (which is less curly) and my natural texture. I don't have any breakage, but if my next texturizer goes as planned I'll have 4 different textures. Good thing nobody can tell but me.:look:
