I tried it for the first time yesterday and I loved it! My hair finally feels moisturized. I used it as my final rinse and I then rollerset. My hair did feel kinda hard but I felt the difference once it dried.

That's how my hair is too. It feels kinda hard and stiff while wet, but after it dries it feels great!

I want to join to (But i know im too late) but i can at least "particapate" anyway right? :look:...... i read about "porous" hair yesterday and i didn't know ANYTHING about it before then im so glad i did read that article because now i completely understand that i def. have porous hair BAD. So I Washed my hair with diluted giovonni 50/50 shampoo, then i conditioned with aussie moist and a small bit of Aphogee 2 min. reconstructer conditioner and did a final rinse with ACV and water...My hair had so much swing (which is saying ALOT for my dry limp hair!) It felt so nice i will def. keep up with the ACV on every wash day! :yep:

I still wanna join: even though i'm late....i been doing porosity for the past 2 wks now... my before

before & after

I did my first RPC treatment tonight after dcing with La Bomba...I'm in
I dc'd with steam for a half hour, rinsed, applied RPC combed it through, and let it sit for about 15 minutes while I read mini me a story. I rinsed my hair with cool water. My hair is so soft and shiny! I haven't even added my leave in yet. This stuff has been sitting under my sink forever, I don't know why I stopped using it.

I want to join
-Which will you be using, PC or ACV?
Mostly PC
-How often will you be using PC/ACV?
Twice a week on DC days
-How will you be using PC/ACV?
Final rinse

I relaxed yesterday and I did an ACV rinse after neutralizing and a PC final rinse after an overnight DC. My hair feels smooth and looks shiny! Hopefully over time PC will improve my moisture retention.

Am I too late to join?? I've been using PC after my relaxers for the past 3 touch ups and plan on using it after my DC as a rinse. Had my last touch up 2 weeks ago and plan on washing this Saturday!

Okay so I found a sample size bottle of PC, used it last night and it left my hair so soft and moisturized. I am gonna get the full size on Friday!

I broke something. I don't know what I did. The first time I did PC, my hair turned out great. I washed my hair on Friday and air dryed (I left out the Aloe Vera Gel to see if I saw a difference). There was definitely a difference when I woke up on Saturday. I'm going to try again on Friday so I can pinpoint what went wrong. Maybe I'm being too heavy-handed sealing with my oils?? IDK, I was sooo disappointed. Hopefully I'll have a good update after Saturday.

I did a cowash this morning and followed with an acv rinse. Most likely will be ordering PC this weekend.

i finally have PC in my posession. there is no such thing as a Sally's in the big city, and since i am one of those who refuses to leave the island, i looked everywhere else. found some at ricky's so i am a happy camper.

i'm going to use it tomorrow after my DC and will report back. I've never used it before so i hope that i see a difference in my hair afterwards.

Using my PC as soon as I rinse this DC/EVOO/neutral protein filler mix from my head.
Following that with Fermodyl 619

Deep Conditioning now with Organix Fortifying Lavender Soymilk Conditioner then going to use PC for 5 minutes and then braid for a breaid out.
Chocolat,
How do you like the Lavendar for your cowashes? The only thing that keeps me from using Organix for my cowashes is that they're so expensive.

Loving the ACV. Cowashed with RS Calm conditioner then ACV'd. This is the 4th or 5th time I think? Anyway, my hair gets better with each rinse. This is a keeper for me. I have got to buy a bottle of OACV for the bathroom though. I hate getting in the shower then jumping out and running downstairs to get the ACV because I plum forgot. :lachen::lachen:

Protein dc with joico yesterday and used pc as final rinse, hair felt stringy afterwards but I moisterized with wave noveau and seal with cocasta and today I cant keep my hands outta my hair! I think I may have found some staples!

So, I conditioned on dry hair, washed and then followed up with the PC. After I finished, I did a braid-out and my hair felt very dry. Not sure if I need to clarify, it's almost been a month since I did it last. I'll keep trying to see if I notice a difference using PC.:wallbash:

Cowashed with Aussie Deeeeep then followed with PC conditioner for 5minutes. My hair loved it!

Day late and a dollar short as usual ... but I'm in :yep:

Which will you be using, PC or ACV? PC
How often will you be using PC/ACV? 3x weekly after co wash/dc
How will you be using PC/ACV? After DC as a final rinse step.

I'm in!

My first wash since the challenge start date was yesterday. After doing a semi-perm color with neutral protein filler, I DC'd with a mix of ORS Replenishing, (in the bottle), and Silicon Mix. My final rinse was PC.

I'll be using PC, on wash day, once a week as a final rinse. Or mixing it with my ORS Replenishing as a DC.

I ordered PC yesterday from Beauty of New York. They ship fast so I'm sure it will be here before the week ends.

OMG.. So yesterday was my wash day. I washed with aphogee deep moisture, then added aphogee 2 min. under heat for 10min. I rinsed and deep condition with Pantene R&N mixed with honey, coconut oil, EVOO for about an hour and a half. I rinsed that out then added Porosity Control as my final rinse under cold water. I then air dired. When it came time to flat iron about 4hrs later, my hair was so soft, silky and straight. I have to say I have never seen my hair like this when I do it. It has to be the PC! Instant Staple!

I clarified and then used Redken Extreme Deep Fuel protein treatment - which is fabulous, hair feels really strong. Followed up with my Origins Rich Rewards moisture condish and used the porosity. This stuff is making my hair feel so different, so very very good!

Are you guys rinsing the porosity out with cold water? I blast my hair with ice cold water each time. I used to dread the temperature at first, now I seem to be used to it, however I kneel over the bath so it's not as bad.

WOW! Your Routine Sounds Wonderful. I can't wait to try that Origins Rich Rewards.:lick:

I do my Final rinse with Cool, Tepid Water. I hear alot about the Benefits of a Cold Water Rinse.:yep:

I have not used Ice Cold Water as my final Rinse. At some point, may give it a try. :look: Glad the Porosity Control is Workin' 4 U ! It totally took my hair to the Next Level. By adding that one simple Step.

Let me know how you like it.

I did the same thing yesterday (I also added fermodyl 619 as my leave in) and I agree, it's doing something for hair because it feels wonderful. I didn't have to moisturize today at all. l used the Aphogee 2 Min. Reconstructor for my protein treatment and DC with KeraCare Humencto. I did use cold water as well.

Hi Everyone! Glad everyone is getting good results.

I was reading GymFreak's recent blog series on porosity and wanted to know everyone's thoughts. Also, for the long term users, how long have you been using PC or ACV (for porosity not clarifying) and how long do you think you will continue to have to use it until your hair is able to regulate itself?

I just received my order of Hairveda samples so I wanted to use those in my hair routine this week. I prepooed with the CoCasta Oil and then put the Moist 24/7 poo on top of that (on dry hair). I washed it out with the Amla shampoo (it is the TRUTH! my hair felt MOIST and detangled) and then did an ACV rinse (I could feel the tangles "melting" as I poured it on) followed by a cold water rinse. I'm loving these results so far!

For those of you that cowash 2+times a week and also poo once a week, do you find it overkill to ACV after the cowashes and PC after the wash? What have been your experiences?
