Relaxed and loving it !!!!
according to LHCF I'm in the minority... outside I am the majority... feels good being on top.. LOL!

97% of black women around me are relaxed. I would say of family and real life (off the hairboards) friends it's like 99% relaxed

Im from the uk and I'm definatley seeing more naturals! I'm seeing more naturals in tv and in uk black hair magazines so I think that plays a major part

I'm transitioning. don't consider myself relaxed or natural yet. I'm both, i'm in transition.

Most people I see irl are relaxed not natural. I do think more people are transitioning though. And I do notice more naturals now but that's probably because I'm heading toward that goal myself.

I'm relaxed, after being natural for about three years. It was a wonderful journey, but I really wanted a change and went back to relaxing my hair. The difference this time is that I'm actually taking care of my hair (novel idea, I know huh?) and I've seen wonderful results.

i think women who wear their own hair regardless if natural or relaxed are the minority.
weaves, wigs, extensions, lacefronts are the majority

Truer words were never spoken. I got stopped in the BSS on Saturday by a girl asking me what kind of hair I use for my weave. She was shocked when I told her that this is all me.

I'm transitioning, not by how popular it became recently , simply my hair was thin and it will break as soon as i relaxed. I don't think I'm going back to relaxer but around me relaxer is still is a must.

Here in the DC area, it seems like naturals are the majority. I remember being at the movies and looking around and thought I was at a Naturals Meetup.

Relaxed in here!
It's been interesting seeing how the forum has changed, naturals are on top now :)
I have to confess that I read some natural threads (mainly because of my sister to see what could work for her) but I rely more and more on the archived threads for relaxed heads.

i'm texlaxed and have been transitioning for about 6 months.

i may texlax at some point again. i just try to keep my hair manageable and healthy. whatever works.....

i'm not big chopping, so if that becomes necessary due to tangling and or breakage, i will texlax.

i'm relaxed.

i was natural for about 3 years before i went back to relaxed April 2010.

i might go back in a few years..who knows.:perplexed

I am texlaxed and in March 2011 I will be relaxing straighter. I think going natural is a good idea I was natural for 4 years but I think a lot of women/people would like manageable hair at the end of the day. For me to have manageable hair without single strand knots and tangling my hair must be straight hence, I am returning to the creamy crack..Maybe later in life when I am retired and I do not have to get up at 5 a.m to get to work I can invest a lot more time in my hair. right now I just can't. I want healthy, manageable, long hair and with all the knowledge I have gained since being on the boards I know I can achieve this.

I am going to have to change my status to relaxed. I couldn't take it anymore and relaxed my hair last night at 5 months 4 days post.

First year as 100% natural.:afro: Although I'm seeing more naturals on the boards and IRL, I don't think Relaxed heads are the minority or ever will be. A lot of people feel that relaxers are the Holy Grail.:ohwell: I notice that when I go to small towns in the south, I get a lot of :nono::perplexed :giggle: reactions but I guess many AA women have been programmed to think that natural hair isnt attractive. As long as people continue to have that type of mindset, relaxed heads will be the majority.

Just my opinion...
