I use lye now and my hair just looks and feels better.
I don't how true this is, but years ago when I used to frequent hair salons, one stylist told me that no-lye relaxers make "your hair swell (puffy)" (She gave some scientific reasoning behind it, but it's been awhile.) I kinda think it may be true; my hair doesn't "swell" as much w/lye. Maybe it's in my head.![]()
Damn you all convinced me to switch from no-lye to lye for my next relaxer, but i have a question, will my hair break off because of the switch? I've been using No-Lye for years and I'm just nervous of how the switch could affect my already no-lye relaxed hair.
Looking at your siggy, I can definitely tell. It's lovelyLye leaves my hair with a silky look, so that's what I stick with.![]()
