With the relaxers, I want to do a little poll. Do you use lye or no lye and how long and what type is your hair. I think this will help answer alot of questions.

I've used no lye for all of my adult life.

My hair is mostly 4b

No lye, 4a shoulder length. I recently switched from lye (Motions) to ORS I saw a huge difference in my hair since switching. Thickness and body being 2 advantages.

No-lye always (currently Phyto), 3c/4a, chose brastrap and longer cause I'm closer to that than shoulder.

Lye, past shoulder length...closer to brastrap length. I have really noticed the difference in my hair since I starting using Lye/Vitale.

Cool poll; went back to lye about a year or so ago, and my hair is loving me for it! I voted lye: shoulder length (getting pretty close)
