This is the length I started at in October 2011
This is where I was in September this year.
I was natural until June this year. During the years I was natural I stayed in mini braids 99% of the time. I moisturized and sealed my ends daily. Used heat 3x a year. Cowashed 4-5x a week, and baggied my whole head almost every night. Now that I am relaxed, I bun 99% of the time. Moisturize and seal every two days. I contribute my growth to protective styling, and keeping my ends moisturized.

I've been on this board since 2007. I looked at my old fotki and all my photos are back. Here's my best before and after.

Here's my 2013 photos I did last night
Left is 2007 at the beginning of my hair journey, right is where I am now, 2013.
I'm loving the pix in here!! You ladies have probably seen a lot of mine before but I'm posting to encourage the fine-haired, slow growers out there! I average less than 1/2" per month and about 4.5" per year. June 2009 November 2010 October 2011 - notice there's only an "A" on my shirt because I thought that was the longest I could grow my hair when I made the shirt. April 2012 - See! Slow grower. April 2013 (my last formal length check) - my hand is resting on my hip bone. It's not much but is definitely more than I thought I would ever have! Thanks to the encouragement from ladies in these challenges, I'm a reformed clipper/scissor addict.
