Ladies,

I received a note via Facebook from a Passion Parties consultant. For those who are unaware of PP:

A Passion Parties®business is a flexible way to earn extra income or start a new career. We have part and full-time Consultants, and those that work their Passion Parties business alongside another job.

We offer ordinary women the opportunity to live extraordinary lifestyles by owning and managing their own businesses — while promoting sexual awareness and well-being. Our direct-selling business model provides generous rewards and recognition for our independent Consultants. Our educational approach to sex and relationships has given Passion Parties and our Passion Consultants a reputation for being leaders in the field of sexual relationships. Passion Parties, Inc. has been featured in a variety of media outlets including “Primetime Live,” “Time” magazine, “The New York Times” “O: The Oprah Magazine,” and “Good Morning America” — among many others.

The website seemed to really focus on making money (paying of debt, buying your dream home etc.) than anything else. Ive always wanted to attend, and Im considering learning more about the business aspect. Anyone one out there know or use similar products and or sex toys OR have a successful PP business (or similar) of your own. Is it worth looking into, or is it a scam

Please share!

Passion Parties is not a scam. I was a consultant for about 2 years. I stopped because I got tired of riding all over the place trying to make money. It is like any other biz...you have to make it work for you. I really enjoyed the parties and they were fun. I got to know a lot of different women and I learned a lot about sex that I didn't know before.

The pit falls are you never know $400 or $0. It is a 50/50 chance. If you have some extra time and a few extra $(for the kit) give it a try. I just figured with money being tight for most people it wasn't worth it...good luck.

Thanks Loca and Pink! Pink, I have a few questions for you I hope you don't mind sharing:

What company do you work for and when did you start
How much money did you put in to start this business?
What the names of some reputatable companies in North America?
How many parties do you do per week
How much money do you make (commission? Salary?) Are you paid weekly?
Would you say, the consultatnt should have a "bubbly" sales type personality to be in this business?
How do you deal with frigid women at these parties? Are they receptive? How do you engage them?
What are the demographics for the women that attend your parties? (age range, income level, marital status)
Do you have any bisexual or homosexual women attend these parties and buy products for their same sex partner?
What do you do differently to set youself apart from the competition, and gain new clients? Is this a competitive business?
Do you make your money mostly from new business, or loyal customers?
Lastly, how long does it take before I can see a profit?

Thanks!

Passion Parties is not a scam. It's like an adut version of Tupeprware Parties. I am a consultant for Booty Parlor Parties, a similar company to Passion Parties.

To answer your questions:
What company do you work for and when did you start
Booty Parlor, I started in February of this year.

How much money did you put in to start this business?
I spent $250 for a starter kit with over $1000 worth of products in it.

What the names of some reputatable companies in North America?
Booty Parlor (of course!), Passion Parties, Slumber Parties, Pure Romance, there are quite a few more than escape my memory.

How many parties do you do per week
I'm lazy and live in the country, so I do like 2 parties per month. When I move back to Atlanta, I anticipate doing at least one party a week because the population will be a bit more diverse.

How much money do you make (commission? Salary?) Are you paid weekly?
Commission. I make a percentage on the items that are sold at my parties and through my website. 25% and up. I get paid weekly.

Would you say, the consultatnt should have a "bubbly" sales type personality to be in this business?
Yes! You have to be outgoing and willing to invite EVERYONE you know to a party, you never know the kinds of people that are interested in the products, you'll be surprised! Then they tell their family and friends and the networking goes on.

How do you deal with frigid women at these parties? Are they receptive? How do you engage them?
With a great icebreaker (I've got plenty!) And a few cocktails don't hurt either. Chances are, if they came they know whats up and they just need to loosen up a bit and they may even become your biggest customers!

What are the demographics for the women that attend your parties? (age range, income level, marital status)
I'm a college student, so most of my invites are aroung 18-26, products of middle to upper class families and have money to spend and or credit cards to run up. They tend to be single, playing the field, in relationships, and I've had a few married women come.

Do you have any bisexual or homosexual women attend these parties and buy products for their same sex partner?
I have had one lady come to buy pruducts for her and her partner. Her purchase did not differ from the "usual" orders I receive. Why do you ask?

What do you do differently to set youself apart from the competition, and gain new clients? Is this a competitive business?
Seeing as I am in an area where there are no adult novelty shops or other consultants of the other companies, I have a bit of a monopoly on my end. I usually gain new clients at the beginning of new semesters when I meet a whole new group of people. I also have lot of sorority sisters that purchase. It can be fairly competitive, depending on where you live and how many other consultants there are around and if there are other options for purchasing products.

Do you make your money mostly from new business, or loyal customers?
A bit of both. Mostly new customers, but they usually buy again especially if they find a body product that they love and use up quickly, as many of them do!

Lastly, how long does it take before I can see a profit?
It all depends on you! With my company, I saw a profit the week after I got my kit! When I ordered it, I went ahead and set up my intro party and had my orders in on time, so I received payment the following week. [/BThe more you put yourself out there, the more you will sell, it is directly related to the effort youn put into it.

THANKS SO MUCH! As per your response to orientation question: Just curious as to the products that are available and if they are geared toward women buying for men and visa versa. Do you find customers are mostly interested in toys, lingerie or body products? What do you do if someone has an allergic reaction or is unsatisfied?

As a faithful consumer of those type of products, I will tell you there are a lot more of "Us" then one would think. I don't think you will have any problems. Those parties know no race, age nor size. I love going to the parties with the 50+ age group. I always laugh until I cry.

Taytay,

There are products available for both men and women, though they are generally geared toward women. There are books, toys, lingerie, body shimmers and lotions, massage candles, whew and the list goes on! We even have a pair of vibrating panties and they sell like hotcakes! Seeing as how we carry some of our products in Victoria's Secret and people are familiar with the body products more so than the toys (until you go to one of our fabulous parties!) I'd say the body products are more popular. Toys last for years, while you run out of body stuff rather quickly, so you have to re-purchase it if you use it often.

People are allowed to test the body products at the parties and generally will steer clear of anything they may be allergic to, ie. Strawberry flavored lip gloss is ano-go if you are allergic to it. Thankfully, I have not had any issues with that, but if bu the off chance that something does happen after they have ordered they deal directly with headquarters with issues like those, the same as if they order something and they decide they don't like it or don't want it. We offer full refunds or exchanges on certain products. Not all, because of the nature of the business!

If you are interested in signing up with Booty Parlor, just shoot me a pm and I'll be glad to get you some information!

Thick Hair,

Those parties are hilarious! Those older ladies will teach you things you never knew!! And they like to buy things for themselves and as gifts!

Without being to graphic, one of my sister's 50+ coworker purchased, um a product that has a suction cup to attach to the wall and she told us how she likes to "Back dat thang up". We were floored.

That's probably hilarious! I bet they don't hold back either. :lachen:

I went to a Passion Party{most of us single and not in serious relationships} once and bought a few items. Mr. Osaka and the Bullet:work4sex:, some heat rub and some sparkle powder. We all had a ball, drank mojitos, ate snacks, bought a lot of things amongst the party group. Nice employment but I think you'd have to have a lot of parties to really make some money as repeat customers may not be the thing-those toys last and last:yep:.
