I can realte to the jehri curl juice story. Whites get genuinely creeped out by that one and I'm like 'Good'.
I work with hispanic children and every now and then I see the long stare and I know they're wondering how my hair feels. Sometimes they come up real close like they want to touch and run, but I always turn and shoot them the look like "WHAT ARE YOU DOING? I KNOW YOU HAVEN'T LOST YOUR MIND!"
Once a student came up behind me while I was sitting at my desk and I turned on her like I was about the karate chop her little butt through the window
. She backed away with a look of shock and fear and that was that! I had to go out in the hallway and chuckle at that one.
Sometimes you hust gotta shoot folk the look and they get the hint.
