My hair is 3b/c around the nape area.. so I can gel it/and apply moisturizer and it will become straight... I have various textures around the crown area which is more kinky,curlier...

I am so happy to see everyone close to reaching their goal. i currently have a full head sew-in in my head but prior to that the back of my hair was touching the bottom of my neck, so i hope to be sl by my birthday. The front is a different story. I believe it coul have been longer had i not put braid extensions in my head. i'm starting to think braiders cut the front of my hair as they braid. But oh well you learn as you go. Right now the front of my hair is at the middle of my cheek , I hope to be at least chin length by my birthday.

Good Luck and Congratulations to you all and Happy Hair Growing!

Don't worry you'll be there before you know it!!:yep: And you can officially remove me from the challenge.

My left side is longer than my right:ohwell: I'm sure you'll be there by July. Still waiting on those pics.:look:

You think so? I figured I had a few more inches to go. But I'm still not sure what the LHCF definition of SL is.
I'm hoping to get to the bottom of that "U" neckline in the wife beater by June.

I use to think I wasn't there either, until I got a little past SL, I wasn't claming it. You are not full SL, but draw a straight line across your shoulder, and you def. have some hairs touching:yep: And it's also turned under a bit.

I had to cut my hair a few weeks ago really short in the back. Been working excessive hours and unable to go to the salon. :ohwell: I will post some pics soon. I don't really mind this length much though when its styled nicely.

It broke off in that same little spot in the back of my head. I'm considering going to a dermatologist if I can find a good one, I've been fighting with that spot in the back for too many years and everytime I think I think my hair is doing good it breaks off again.

Anywho, I'm still using fiberguard sensitive scalp relaxer every 8 to 10 weeks. And I moisturize w/keracare jojoba oil moisturizer.

Even my stylist was shocked at how fast my hair has grown from when she cut it. Its so frustrating. My hair actually grows fairly quickly, it just breaks off very easily

I am joining the hair challenge..what are the rules...what are we doing? someone please email with info or a link to locate...thnx

Everything is going great over here. I'm going to keep wigging it for the next two weeks. I'll try to take pics after my trim in 2 weeks.

I have not washed my hair in 3 weeks now(its been years sine ive gone longer then a week). I've been so out of it. So today I plan on poo'ing, DC'ing, and maybe take a progress pic.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! I am still working on this challenge I have the W shape so the side of the hair in the back is touching but the middle of nape is not. I'm in a challenge with limited heat and I'm transitioning so it hard to get my hair straight for a length check until next month.

Hi Ladies,

I am a newbie but have been lurking around the site for about a year now:grin:.

I believe I'm a 4a/4b type and relaxed (Mizani BB) but stretching 12 weeks and my hair is almost chin length in the front but touching shoulders in the back, I don't believe I'll be full SL by June 30th but I'd love to get in the challenge. Here's my reggie:

Wash: weekly w/Mizani Puriphying Shampoo (clarifying)
Condition: weekly w/Mizani Moisturefuse (LUV!) and sometimes use AO's Honeysuckle Rose, I use both to DC.
Protein: I don't like protein too much but once every 2 months or before & after taking down braids I'll use ORS Replenishing Pak or AO's GPB for light protein to DC with.
Leave-Ins: I use Biolage Leave-In Tonic ~staple~along w/Lacio that I remixed w/a drop of honey & EVOO mixture (since I got the new Lacio that doesn't include Hyrdrolized silk or Panthenol) I use both of these to detangle and to prepare my hair for rollersetting.
Serum: I now use CHI Silk Infusion (I add a pea sized amount to my hair right before I rollerset for the shine & to seal in moisture).
Oil: Coconut oil that I put in a jar & let solidify then use like cream for scalp & only apply on wash day after I take down rollers.
Moisturize: Daily w/NTM Silk Touch (this is the TRUTH & leaves my hair silky) & seal w/ORS Olive Oil Lotion. Then I wrap w/satin scarf each night.

I rollerset weekly after washing and DC'ing. I usually wear my hair in a wrap & I haven't experimented w/PS yet since I'm barely touching SL in the back but I can't wait to try & bun when it gets hot. I also wear braids when I get tired of my hair. I still take really good care of my hair in braids, keep them moisturized (using homemade sprays w/witch hazel, rosemary & peppermint oils) also oiling my scalp weekly, washing them w/spray bottle, etc. I have been on my hair care journey consistently since October 08' thanks to Ms. Green (she is my mentor & we go waaay back :yep:) I am a PJ and put myself on a 6 month punishment since October but I just bought the Lacio & CHI Silk Infusion 2 weeks ago & I think there both keepers, I tried the Lacio prior to buying it & nothing has ever left my rollersets so light, bouncy, and soft (I hate that they changed the formula on some bottles :nono: I also need to add that I drink plenty of water daily, I take GNC Ultra-Nourish Hair vitamins daily and excercise since I started my hair care regimen. I will try and post some pics soon.

I hoping and praying I will be SL by August 1st. I started off with a uneven bob, one side was below the ear, the other was as the chin.
Now my hair is NL. My one short side has grown 2 1/2 inches. My hair is alot fuller now with less split ends. I think my hair has found the right balance of protein and moisture. :)

I don't know what's going on with my hair. My right side looks SL one day, the next day, it doesn't.:perplexed :wallbash: My left side is shorter (NL) and my nape is growing back pretty good. I started baggying again and cowashing more so I hope this helps. I'm still hoping for SL by July 31st.

Quit playing, a lot of y'all have got SL hair!

:lachen: I know that's right.

My UpDaTe: I'm taking down my twists tomorrow after 15 days. I can't wait. I'm going to rock a big ol' puff for my law school graduation on Sunday.

This challenge is supposed to end in June. Is it going to be continued through summer?

I hope so because I am a newbie and would love to join this challenge. My healthy hair journey just started 2 months ago, i need more time!!! I am currently NL, but i have a long neck so its gonna take me a little longer to reach sl, if that makes sense:grin::grin:
Congrats on graduation!!!:yep:
