Hi Ladies,
I am a newbie but have been lurking around the site for about a year now
.
I believe I'm a 4a/4b type and relaxed (Mizani BB) but stretching 12 weeks and my hair is almost chin length in the front but touching shoulders in the back, I don't believe I'll be full SL by June 30th but I'd love to get in the challenge. Here's my reggie:
Wash: weekly w/Mizani Puriphying Shampoo (clarifying)
Condition: weekly w/Mizani Moisturefuse (LUV!) and sometimes use AO's Honeysuckle Rose, I use both to DC.
Protein: I don't like protein too much but once every 2 months or before & after taking down braids I'll use ORS Replenishing Pak or AO's GPB for light protein to DC with.
Leave-Ins: I use Biolage Leave-In Tonic ~staple~along w/Lacio that I remixed w/a drop of honey & EVOO mixture (since I got the new Lacio that doesn't include Hyrdrolized silk or Panthenol) I use both of these to detangle and to prepare my hair for rollersetting.
Serum: I now use CHI Silk Infusion (I add a pea sized amount to my hair right before I rollerset for the shine & to seal in moisture).
Oil: Coconut oil that I put in a jar & let solidify then use like cream for scalp & only apply on wash day after I take down rollers.
Moisturize: Daily w/NTM Silk Touch (this is the TRUTH & leaves my hair silky) & seal w/ORS Olive Oil Lotion. Then I wrap w/satin scarf each night.
I rollerset weekly after washing and DC'ing. I usually wear my hair in a wrap & I haven't experimented w/PS yet since I'm barely touching SL in the back but I can't wait to try & bun when it gets hot. I also wear braids when I get tired of my hair. I still take really good care of my hair in braids, keep them moisturized (using homemade sprays w/witch hazel, rosemary & peppermint oils) also oiling my scalp weekly, washing them w/spray bottle, etc. I have been on my hair care journey consistently since October 08' thanks to Ms. Green (she is my mentor & we go waaay back
) I am a PJ and put myself on a 6 month punishment since October but I just bought the Lacio & CHI Silk Infusion 2 weeks ago & I think there both keepers, I tried the Lacio prior to buying it & nothing has ever left my rollersets so light, bouncy, and soft (I hate that they changed the formula on some bottles
I also need to add that I drink plenty of water daily, I take GNC Ultra-Nourish Hair vitamins daily and excercise since I started my hair care regimen. I will try and post some pics soon.
