November Hits& Misses

Hits:
Kinky Twists...I thought my hair was going to be really dry and brittle because I was not moisturizing them like I was supposed to. But I just took them out and my hair has grown a bit with absolutely no breakage just massive shedding of course /images/graemlins/smile.gif I will definitely be getting them again in January before I go back to school from winter break /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Cont of my October/November Hits& Misses

Hit:
Phytorelaxer Index 2
Phytospecific Milky conditioner (was included in the kit)
Nexxus Botanoil Shampoo

Elasta was my October miss. Elasta's results are the reason I had to get a touch up sooner.

Hits:
Nexxus Botanic Oil
Nexxus Therappe
Nexxus Humectress
ORS Olive Oil Crème
Extra Virgin Olive Oil [as hot oil treatment]

Misses:
ORS Olive Oil Moisturizing Hair Lotion
Elasta QP Mango Butter Moisturizer

Hits:
* Asha's Naturals Mane Attraction (it's a hair creme)
* Asha's Naturals Sun Kissed (it's a pomade; it's got a beautiful scent but pregnancy has made me somewhat scent-intolerant. /images/graemlins/frown.gif)
* Platinum Hair Pomade for men (great for making waves on new growth when I'm wearing it slicked back in a bun)
I'm quite pleased with all of these. They're *truly* natural (unlike Aveda). I intend to shop there again. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

* Salerm 21 /images/graemlins/clap.gif Beautiful twist-outs; moisturizing; not too smelly.

* L'Oreal Smooth Intense hair serum - works as well on my hair as NTM's Healing Serum but comes in a bigger bottle for a lower price (Target special)

Misses:
Miss Key 10 en 1 conditioner - the smell makes me want to pass out; it leaves my hair feeling coated; right now, it seems like nothing more than a heavily-perfumed cholesterol conditioner. /images/graemlins/barf.gif

L'Oreal Color Vive conditioner - too runny, not moisturizing, left my hair tangled (much better w/oil added for CO washes)

Jury Still Out:
NACIDIT olive oil conditioner

Hits:
Keracare Humecto in the 4lb TUB: Im in love
Motions Herbal line- shampoo, conditioner and mango butter
Essations Moisturesheen conditioner- no great smell but moisturizes like nobody's business
Rollersetting with just salerm 21 and water- no setting lotions

No misses!!

another hit: mane and tail shampoo and conditioner
I don't know why I stopped using this stuff, but I'm glad I started using it again. Along with Kenra and Nexxus, this is one of my staples!

Misses:

Phytospecific Intense Nutrition Mask (an extremely thin conditioner. I hope the Vital Force Cream Bath is better.)

Graham Webb Halo Rescue Reparative Shampoo (it shampoos nicely but left my hair coated. I prefer the Halo Drench Hydrating Shampoo)

Profectiv Breakfree Daily leave-in strengthener
Elasta QP Mango Butter( i slept on this one-glad i woke up)
Aussie knot forgotten(really does detangle well)

Jessicurl Hair Cleansing Cream (gentle creamy lather, no sls)
Fantasia Styling Gel (doesn't flake, conditioning aloe, no alcohol)
Jessicurl Rockin Riglets (natural setting lotion, works well for my twists)

Jury Still Out:
Jessicurl Too Shea Conditioner (works well as a hair dress or conwash, too thin for me as a moisturizing conditioner)

No Misses

Re: November Hits& Misses

Hits:

Vidal Sassoon Steam Roller Ion Hairsetter - Big hit. Purchased for $20 at Ulta.

Remington Heated Rag Rollers - These are really great. Perfect for travel because the case zips up and is very compact. They're soft bendy rollers, covered in a smooth (almost satiny) cover. I also purchased these at Ulta for $20.

Misses: None!

Late addition:

Hit: Sally's Generic version of Aussie 3-Minute Miracle. $3.49 for 24 oz vs. $5.24 for 16 oz of the "real thing".
