That's 'cause they ARE insults.

:yep: yep that's what I was going to say. I've hear comments like these a million times. It goes like..."Hey, I can't believe all that hair is yours! My hair use to be sooooo long but I don't care about that so I cut it. It use to be this long (then they point to about shoulder length) so I know what it's like to have long hair and I don't want it.
OK yeh right. So why then immediately turn and ask me what products I'm using, who does my hair, etc? Whatever. I just ignore stuff like this. Negativity just rolls off my back.

That's the prevailing thought in the black community, protrayed in the media so it stands to reason...

I have had several friends, chocolate drops with fabulously long hair. They have all but had to show people they don't have tracks and people still didn't believe them.

It's really time for black women to care for their hair and their little girl's hair and show everyone black women can have long healthy hair.
then how do "they" explain, Brazlilian, Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, Haitians, Africans, Columbians, European blacks etc... having long hair

EXACTLY!! I have a white friend who was trying to grow out her BSL hair for like 2 years but it wouldn't grow. She had triple split ends  .I don't know if you ever seen that, but it don't look nice.

Anyway about a 1 1/2 ago she got a trim, started washing her hair once a week, wearing it in a bun, no heat (she flat ironed her straight hair daily  ) deep conditioning, basically all the stuff us LCHF do, and wouldn't you know her hair is waist length now.

It's not because she's white, it's because she started taking care of her hair.

EXACTLY you said it.

We should come up with a new motto for all these nosey, over-opinionated people:
Did I ask you? then don't tell me....

well when i went for my retouch last night, there was a lady there having her hair coloured whose hair was very thin, short etc. and i told her i want my hair long. and she sarcastically said "well its already long blah blah why u want it longer" i said "well i personally what longer hair, its just something iwant, may aswell grow it very long once in my life" she couldn't understand why i wanted long hair! she didn't even have to, she could of at least acknowledged the fact that it was something 2 do with me, and plus i'm a stranger 2 her so u know.

This weekend I was wearing my hair in ponytail, I had a braid out last week, and a lady walked up to me at the grocery store and asked me where I got my ponytail from... Errrrr.. I said boo, this is mine... She was like really? I said yup :D she was hot... Tee Hee..

Do not aske the questions you do not wish to know the answers too!!
