Foxy, welcome aboard! Your hair is awwwwwwwwwwwwesooooooooooooome!!!!!!!! I know you're going to love it here, and we are able to help you any way we can. I'm fairly new for going on 2 months on this board. This is the place to be! Here's a nice big
as my way of welcoming you to our family.

Editor's note: We are family. I got all my natural and relaxed sisters with me. We are family. Get up everybody and GROW HAIR!! Ad libbed from Sister Sledge's 1978 album and title song: "We Are Family".
Foxybronx,
I got a recommendation from someone on the board about a place in the city called "macstyle." They actually have an internet site too. They're kind of expensive
. The hairdressers seem to be very knowledgable from their profile. So I think I might try them when I get home. I'll tell you how it goes. Keep me posted on what you find too
The internet in my house is not working so i'm playing catch up...but your pics are great! I saw your hair in person and its very thick and the black color is really nice. You have my first goal length. I'm looking forward to reading more of your posts.. WELCOME!!!
Aww...Thanks Babygirls, for the welcome and the compliment! I am loving it here, I can't believe how sweet everyone is! Here is one back
Hey Adrienne! Oh gorgeous hair one! You see you can't get rid of me

Thanks keke, Crysdon, and Sweetcocoa for the warm welcome and kind words
Beana, girl what are you talking about your hair is LONG i seen it when you stretched it out, you are MAD close to brastrap. Thanks for the compliments though!
Hey Faith, aka swttng! Good to see the whole crew is here
Hi ngaa, yes girl i do have an obsession , but everyone has their vices
I remember you, how is the haircare thing coming along?
Thanks Emerald Sky and Seamist for the compliment, and the welcome
you guys are making my day
Emerald, I usually tell the hairdresser that I DO NOT want my hair bone straight, to leave a little curl..so my hair is relaxed about 80% i am not sure how long they leave it on, b/c it varies depending on the hairdresser.
Foxybronx,
Macstyle, is marvin's place. I also got a recommendation for luxe studio. I'm not sure which to try though. Marvin is more expensive than luxe, so I have to think about it
Hey Rabia,
I definitely think that it helps the health of my hair to leave a little curl, because my hair has stronger elasticity since i am not breaking all the bonds in my hair. It also helps because there is no overprocessing even if the stylist slightly overlaps.
Yeah girl i heard of Marvin, some people rave about him, but i know a few people protesting about him
so let me know if you do go how your experience was..It is kinda expensive though.
Awww...thanks for the compliments you guys!!..ya'll are making me feel like a star
I appreciate it very much.
Hey ny2atl, I joined my first board (Blackhaircareandbody) December 2001, So i am sure the september pic must be from September 2002 I am not sure if it was taken in september or posted in september though. Thanks for the warm words!!

Drea28, that sounds like a great B-day present to me
, I only get 1/2 an inch a month too, so it might be closer than you think! TFTC
SweetNicJA, Thanks for the welcome and the compliment too!
..Keep me posted! Are you taking pics of your progress? Cause I remember Adrienne saying how discouraged people can get because you are so used to seeing your hair you don't think you are getting any progress, but when you take pics you can see that you actually are making progress..Thats what helped me the most
