New Adopt a Newbie Challenge!!

I definitely want to be adopted :D

Hair Type: I don't know :ohwell:... maybe 3c? (It's texturized now)
Challenge Goal: Thicker hair at BSL
 
Please count me in as a newbie needing a big sis. Since I joined LHCF (less than a month ago), I went from really having no regimen and hardly any products to going out and buying at least 15 different products (and still itching to buy more). Ask me how many of them I have used?! My hair is in braids!! I need help, and fast :wallbash:.

LHCF Name: Mimico96 (Mimi)
Hair Type: I think I'm 4a
Short term goal: SL healthy hair with no see through ends (Can I get this in Dec. 07?). Develop a regimen for Mimi.
Long term goal: APL healthy hair (hey, I'm not greedy...yet). Also can't wait to be able to adopt a newbie.
Hair Issues: The only time my hair got any real length was when I was pregnant with my son. Before and after that, my hair sheds, breaks, is too dry or too oily...basically think of everything bad regarding hair and I've experienced it.

I was going to ask for a big sis but i dunno, there seems to be a shortage? And I gotta let the newer newbies have a big sis before me.
I have learnt a lot, and my routine is stabilizing so i guess i could be a big sis...but i need a sis too...a twin sis.:look:
Ya'll think we can form threesome support groups? or have a twin sis category?

I'd be down for having a "twin" sis. However, I am newly natural so I know general hair care for relaxed hair, but now I'm clueless for natural hair. If I'm allowed to be twins with a relaxed or natural head, I'd do it.
 
I need a big sis. Ive been a member for a while but I haven't gotten it together yet.

LHCF name: strenght81
Hair type:either 4a or 4b relaxed. (my hair is pretty coarse,w/ medium strands)
short term goal:healthy,full,bouncy, even chin length hair.
Long term goal:healthy, even, bouncy, full 1-2 inches longer than collar bone length hair.
Challenges: sticking to a regimen,
Current length: neck-SL(recently chopped the middle of my head in attempt to go natural but changed my mind soon after, the hair is about 2 inches while the rest is 6) I hope to have that grow out by June.


Come on, I need to be adopted. I think I have the shortest goals and easiest to attain in a short amount of time. *campaigning for myself* Adopt me.:grin:

Ok ladies. I am closing the sign-ups to Newbies since I have had only a couple of Big Sisters volunteer. If I am able to get enough volunteers I will let you all know.

I would really love a big hair sis. I have lost my hair 3 times once to a reaction to asthma medication. a second time to self-relaxing and a third time to a crazy stylist who decided to cut off 4 inches of hair instead of a half an inch. I have finally found a place of hope for my hair in the long hair care forum. I wore sew-in weaves for 5 years and my hair should be to the floor. But when i took it out I had so much breakage I would have to cut off just as much as a grew. My hair is to my shoulders but it is not even. That is the longest my hair has been since I was a child. I really need help and guidance to get to a healthy, even length apl and beyond. I feel If I can get past my shoulders and maintain healthy hair it would be smooth sailing from there. I really would like to have someone to communicate one on one that believes it is possible to reach my goal since everyone I tell what I'm trying to do with my hair laughs at me, thinks I am crazy, or trying to be white. I actually think that is the most important part to have a person that believes in what I am trying to do. I promise If I get paired up with a big sis and when I am on the right path to achieving my goal I will greatfully sign up as a big sister myself.

That's how we did it. I put a line in my siggy saying that I wanted to be a big sis, GG pm'd me, and it was done!

I don't believe there is any one person who does the matching. Am I wrong? :look: Are there rules to this sisterly relationship?
