NEVER been to a Salon?

I was wondering....as anyone on this board NEVER been to a salon??? Or is it just me? My mother has done my hair since I was small, and she does a great job. ( My hair is pressed.) I have always heard terrible stories of people going to the salon with hair, and when they are finished they have none. Or stories about scissor happy stylists.

If they isn't anyone here....has anyone just been to a salon once, twice or three times?? (Just for special occasions?)

I have never been to a salon either because growing up my mom took care of my hair and now I do. I really don't see the purpose of me going to a salon because I know how to do everything myself plus I enjoy doing my own hair I just try to keep it simple.

I have NEVER been to a salon either. My mom took good care of my hair until I took over( she tought me how of course).
