My favorite is Extra Virgin Coconut Oil.
It's all natural, melts into my hair and skin without leaving a trace of greasiness. It keeps my edges smooth and straighter longer;and it keeps my ends brittle-free.
It can be applied to the scalp without clogging the pores and it's weightless so I don't worry about it weighing my hair down and leaving it stiff, sticky and greasy.

Camellia oil -- it is just light and just heavy enough for my hair that really dislikes very light or very heavy oils; moisturizing; seals my hair better than anything else.

I LOVE coconut oil because it penetrates and it leaves my hair shiny and keeps my skin smooth. Castor and olive oil mix for sealing my ends for twistouts and buns.

Jojoba Oil! Love it!! Its light-weight which is what I need for my hair, works as a growth aid and makes my hair shine. All-in-all great product for me all around

Avocado oil is my second fav right now....it really seals in every bit of moisture for my hair

Jamaican black castor oil because it is a fantastic moisturiser, simply melts away tangles and leaves my hair soft.
Grapeseed oil - for sealing and superb shine
Camellia oil also imparts great shine. I add it to my DT.
I know its not strictly an oil but I LOVE shea butter :-).
The product junkie in me is currently eyeing that emu oil everyone is talking about...

Virgin Palm Kernel Oil- kind of like coconut oil but a lot better on my hair and scalp- smells kind of like burnt peanut butter

Castor Oil and Turkey Red Castor Oil- Thick, heavy, excellent softener and great moisturizer.

Ghee-mixed with essential oils to get rid of the smell. Why?- Because it is cheap to make and it absorbs into the hair well, making it soft and easy to detangle after washing. I love it! I mix it with other things and use it on my skin.

I I have to pick just one then coconut... i probably could just use that alone. It's amazing. But... I like combining oil along with it like jojoba avocado evening primrose alomond kukui nut etc along with essential oils and extracts for hair growth.

Coconut oil, but only if I'm doing a pre-poo or adding it to a conditioner. I can't walk out the house with coconut oil on my hair because it'll freeze on me.

In the winter I love Castor Oil. In the summer Coconut Oil.

Coconut and castor is a nice mix, and wow--how convenient! Hairveda makes Cocasta oil :-D
Grapeseed oil for oil rinsing, I mix with Jamaican Black castor oil

Other than that my hair prefers butters/butter mixes.

Coconut oil when my hair is pressed b/c my hair stays silky and moisturized.
Castor oil when I am in my natural state because it is heavy enough to seal and soften.

Ditto to all this, plus it adds a great shine. ;)

Jojoba oil is my 2nd fav.

So far

Coconut Oil, Natural and Straight! I've tried a lot of other oils, they are just too heavy on my hair. I tried EVOO and omg my hair HATES IT.....or I HATE IT lol.

So I say Coconut Oil, but Imma try EVCO, Macadamian Nut Oil and Moroccan Oil when I get a chance

Not natural...:look:

But I had to second grapeseed and apricot kernel oils. They aren't the most popular but the work for me when some of the most popular like coconut and castor oil didn't.

What type of coconut oil are you ladies using? Coconut oil from the beauty supply or grocery store? What brand?

I agree with what everyone says about the coconut oil-I love it. I don't really use it daily in the winter-but i will add it to my conditioners. In the spring-fall I use it all the time.

Almond oil-light, moisturizing, softness

Castor oil-shine, really controls my hair if that makes some sense

Meadowfoam seed oil-light, gives my hair shine & softness. Kinda expensive tho.-I can use this one year round

Avocado oil-really softness my hair

Coconut oil because it's light and it penetrats the hair shaft so I can use it w/o a moisturizer if I want.

Vakita hair oil because of all the ingredients, it leaves my hair shiny and with out that whole greasy feeling.

I agree, coconut oil is my favorite as well. It defines my curls, leaves my hair soft and smells amazing. I'm going to have to try sealing with castor and olive oil because using castor alone has been a little heavy on my ends.
