They look great! I just put some mini twists in my hair.....wish I had seen your reggie beforehand about light pooing at the 2 week mark- that's a great tip!

I didn't stretch my hair to put mine in since I work out frquently and my hair shrinks so easily. Do you recommend blowdrying out the hair and keeping it stretched while wearing them?

Gorgeous! I just put some in my hair as well! I love this style. I just have to make sure I'm patient when I take them down.

Beautiful hair!! you did a great job. :-) How do you maintain them at night?

I put the twists in one big pony twist and secure the end with an ouchless hair elastic. I use a satin scarf to tie the hair down. I then cover the hair with a satin bonnet to cover the pony that is too long to be covered fully by the scarf.

i do recommend blowing out the hair when they are this small to limit matting and it makes the twisting process go by more quickly. when my hair was about neck length i usually just did them on stretched hair i wore in a puff for about two days. now, it's just easier to blow it out.

KinkyKurlyQueen, who to me takes mini twists to a whole other level, doesn't wash her twist for the entire month she keeps them in. If my scalp didn't give me problems i'd do the same thing but i think i'd be miserable.

Also, innovativethinkin discussed that her twists started to loc when she did them on hair that wasn't blow dried. she got them out fine but it just took longer.

I love them!! i did mini twists on my hair last week and it took me 8 hrs but i dont have nearly as much hair as u do so i can only imagine! have u ever washed them? i did once and a week later they atarted to lock at the roots on me! omg! wont be doing that again.

Wow! Your twists look really good!!! I'm jelly, I WISH my two-strand twists looked like that.

Oh, and the growth is a plus, too!!!

UPDATE

I kept my twists in for 4 weeks. sorry i forgot to take pics (but for some reason i remember to make a video  i gotta do better.)

here's how my twists looked after 25 days. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FgmWb4fM0Tw

I wore them for a day longer then rocked a twist out for 2 days.

Reggie:
I didn't wash the hair. I give the credit to bee mine growth serum b/c usually my scalp is screaming for water after 14 days. i used qhemet heavy cream on the ends.

eta: my detangle reggie

after untwisting i separate the hair in 4 sections. i coat each section with safflower oil (any oil should work), spritz with water, then coat with aussie moist. i sit under a cap for 30 minutes.

i then detange each section BEFORE going into the shower. this took me about 30 minutes and the hair loss was surprisingly little. i used the tangle teezer but i now see that it is being questioned. for me it worked like a charm.

in the shower i wash each section separately using a shampoo bar to really get my scalp clean. i rinse the hair with diluted ACV and voila! the hair is soft, detangled and clean.
