My last hope... BKT... ***pic heavy***
As some may know, I have been on my journey steadily for almost a year and have been having very very little progress, in fact it seemed as if I was going backwards. I am transitioning and am about 2 and a half months post, not a long time but the two different textures and the damaged hair and my lack of knowledge made this transition almost impossible. I decided my last line of defense before going back to the creamy crack is BKT... Here are my pics.
SORRY THERE SO BIG... UPLOADED FROM PHONE!
Before anything just nappy damaged hair.
My fried ends
Texture shot of my loosest coiled hair
The back of my hair, the most damage 4z kinks.
Washed with clarifying shampoo, nothing but tangles... Ugh!
Texture shot of top after wash
Texture shot of back after wash... Ugh
I then applied the BKT as instructed, that took about half an hour. But the detangling process was easier then usual.
Hair loss from the application... This is about half of what I usually lose during detangling.
After applied I blow-dried...
Blowdried after application.
Texture shot after blow dry... Not much different from a regular blow out
My ragged ends... So depressing
Freshly flat ironed...
Texture shot
My ragged ends, still there but at least the don't feel like hay... Had my SO do a quick dusting... Not to even it just to get some of the damage.
Final project... Feels like silk... Especially the previously relaxed hair
The new growth is very very soft.
Product i used... Picked up at BSS... For 60 dollars.
Tools of the trade... Nothing expensive and infact the flat iron has cracks and missing pieces....:-/
So my final take... My hair looks great feels even better. I was very impressed with this whole process. I did all this last night, went to sleep with my hair out and no scarf and it's still looks the same and feels the same with no signs of revisions.
I will get one more use out if that 4 oz bottle of BKT.. So if you think about it, it was only 30 bucks to get my hair done.
The only things I didnt like was the stuff is strong on the eyes, but then again I wasn't using a fan, just had the window open. Also the flat ironing burned the bejesus out my fingers. Besides that all systems go for a rerun with this product.
Ok... I'm done
Happy hair growing everyone!!!
