BKT and Hair Breakage

Hello All:

I am doing my first BKT right now and am noticing some breakage. I left the BKT in for about an hour before I blow dried because I had to go buy another flat iron. I have natural 4b hair and when I blow dried it looked better than the last time I tried to flat iron my hair. Now I am using a root straightener and small flat iron on my roots. I am using a straightening and cutting comb with my flat iron. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong. Other than that my hair looks great, but I am worried that the breaking will continue after I'm done. Any suggestions.

I had same issue at very beginning. Make sure you keep your hair moisturized and sealed. The breakage will stop.

Thank you for answering! Don't I have to wait until I wash it before I can moisturize. This morning I'm not noticing any breakage, but it freaked me out last night.
