Girl, I'm gonna have to disagree with you about pics being the best at describing hair length, condition and texture. I wish so much that my hair looked as look as my avatar. I took 3 or 4 pics trying to cover the holes and make my hair spread out and look good on that picture.

Picture albums are great if only for your own record keeping. I keep all facial photos blurred or show only my eyes..otherwise the photos are back, top or sides of my hair. I really want to stay anonymous...too much craziness out here in real life to deal with photo madness. Fotki updates take time and a lot of planning to have chronological photos-I visit others fotkis more than my own

I only have a sig picture, no fotkis or anything. Why?
1. I don't feel my hair is good enough to inspire others. I've been here for well over a year, but I don't have that protein / moisture balance thing YET (I've read the threads over and over again) and I don't think I've even come close!
2. I still can't do my own hair that well. The water is very hard in England. We do not have a shower and our taps are separate too which means I have to wash my hair in hot hot hot or cold cold cold water.
3. I'm on and off LHCF all the time. Imagine if I had really nice hair and I had people getting impatient about my next fotki update! Sometimes I can get here every day, other times I'm not here but once or twice a month. It just depends. I'm unemployed at this moment right now so I'm here every day.
4. Because of item #2, I don't take as many pictures as I used to in the US. I used to take about 20 a month then!

You can buy something to connect it on the two tapes I don't know the name in english the form is like an Y (I had it when I was student ) so you can wash your hair easily , hope that you can find it in UK ... Cecilie .

I had a fotki album about 4 years ago when I first BC .. .. got lazy about hair and deleted the pics and closed the account ..
I keep meaning to make another one with my sister 's help .. I don't have a digital cam .. embarssed to say lol ..
And my hair has been through so many changes ... i wish i had documented it better .
There are several members here who are Muslims...even if they did show a pic, you'd not see their hair, but that doesn't mean they don't have beautiful very long hair.
Honestly, how do any of us know if those pics are of YOU anyway? We're taking you at YOUR word, right? If the lack of pics make you suspicious or uncomfortable, simply ignore those posters.
When this forum and other like it 1st started, there was none of these blogs and digital cameras weren't a dime a dozen (forget camera phones), but there was the text and the ability to search.
Funny thing is, I hardly ever pay attention to posted pics and almost never check a fotki.
One more thing...men w/ hair fetishes. Even w/o a single pic online, I have gotten bugged from Yahoo by dudes who were reading what groups I belonged to and saw me on IM. Ironically one of the biggest fetishes was a hair cutting fantasy. smh....

I wouldn't worry about not posting pictures
I was here for almost 2 years before I posted my first pictures. I joined in March 2006, posted my first picture January 2008.
I didn't have a digital camera at the time (still don't --
) and I didn't have the time to 'focus' upon taking pictures. Here's the thing. It's not mandatory. Do it when you can and don't worry about it.
