May 2009~Hits & Misses~

Hit--Steamer

I used it for the 3rd time yesterday and it is a HUGE hit. I prefer to dc on dry hair and I alternate protein dc & moisturizing dc. The absorption (sp?) of the dc into my hair is amazing. My hair is thick and I need alot of conditioner. Yet when I look into the mirror afterwards in some areas of my hair the conditioner has completely absorbed. Also I start with all of the hair piled on my head but by the end my hair is hanging long. My waves (ng) are popping after steaming. Detangling has never been that difficult but each time I steam the comb is starting to glide through my hair. That is fantastic at nearly 5 months post. I am thinking of upping my steaming to 2x/wk.

Girl, Isn't Steamin' Da' Bomb ?? I think I read in an earlier post you and I have the exact same one.

It definitely makes your Products perform much better and it just makes you hair feel fabulous. I am hooked on Deep Conditioning Steam Treatments. Even though I want to do it everyday, I only do it once a week.

I love my steamer.:love2:

I think out of anything I've invested Money in (so far), this Single one piece of equipment has surpassed it all:grin:

Revisited Hit: I agree with HoneyA, low to no manipulation is saving my hair, and it took me long enough to figure that one out.

Another Hit: A hot oil treatment of honey and EVOO or a hot pre-poo of epsom salt mixed with conditioner on my increasingly thicker new growth is awesome. I love their ability to soften my hair really well for easy detangling:lick:.

Miss: Manipulating my hair wayyy too much, ie, washing, cowashing, 3 or more times per week, my hair is fighting me something fierce right now:nono:. Once a week I think is enough washing for my hair for the moment anyway:yep:.
