Thats why I stopped using plastic combs about 6 months ago. I own 3 seamless combs in different sizes, they really make a difference gliding through my hair.

What about bone combs? Are those the same thing as seamless combs? If not, are they better or worse for you hair?

So are the plastic shower combs supposed to be okay or not?

The plastic shower combs aren't as good as the seamless combs. Even though a lot of the plastic shower combs glide easily through wet hair they're still not as good as seamless combs.

Before I got my shower comb, the lady from the company confirmed that they were seamless...of course she was probably just saying that.

whats the diff between as eamless comb and a non seamless comb? I wil hae to get me one....do they sell these at Sally's?

Thanks for posting that! :-)

Seeing it reinforces just how easy it is to damage hair strands. Maybe, I need to stop using my Jilbere shower comb.

Are there any stores that sell real seamless combs? is there a national brand of seamless combs i can find? i don't like ordering hair stuff on the inet.

I did a search in yahoo for what a seamless combs looks like, but I've come up empy-handed. Does anyone have a picture of what one looks like?

Also, are wooden combs okay to use? I got one from The Body Shop in the mall and it works good for me, but is it bad for my hair? :)

I guess it's possible. I've looked around for seamless plastic combs, but I've never seen any.

I looked through all the combs at a Sally's store near my house - I didn't see any seamless combs there.

Check the beauty supply stores and salons near you. I know that they sell seamless wooden combs at The Body Shop, Crabtree & Evelyn, and I think they're also at Bath & Body Works.

Wooden combs are great. Keep on using yours.

Here are some pictures from hairsense.com and pivotpointstore.com:

Well I tried those combs from hairsense and if anything it caused more hair to come out. I have sense gone back to using just wide tooth plastic combs. I get better results.

I bought one of my seamless combs from Sally's and the other ones at the bss. Thay are made by Hard Rubber Brand and Royal Crown. They sell them on Tenderheaded.com also

I ordered a hairsense comb from ebay and it was so sharp that I was scared to use it on my hair. I'm going to send it back - I ran the comb along my arm and it scratched my arm because the tips weren't rounded.

I've read posts from some of the ladies on LHCF who like hairsense combs, but I won't buy any more from them. There's a beauty supply store near me that sells Hercules-Sagemann combs, so I'm going to buy one of those.

This is the hairsense comb that I ordered:

How much do the Hercules-Saegemann combs cost? I am very interested in buying one and did not see any prices on the website.

I don't really know how much they cost. There's one on http://www.expressyourbeauty.co.uk/ that's £2.50. I can't find them anywhere else on the Internet. The store near me that sells them is only open Mon. - Fri. until 5:00 pm, so I won't be able to go until July 4, when I have the day off from work.

I ordered a Hercules Saegemann catalog - if you go on the web site and click on "Info-Material" on the left, you can order one.

I e-mailed Hercules Saegemann asking them who their retailers are in the U.S., but they didn't find any. I know there have to be some. Luckily I live close to Canada, where a lot of stores sell the combs. I've called about 15 of the beauty supply stores here in Buffalo and none of them had Hercules Saegemann. LiqueXX, maybe you'll have better luck in your area, especially if you live near Cleveland, Columbus, or Cincinnati.

I would order a bone comb on the Internet, but I want to see a comb in person before I buy it. I'm really disappointed with the bone comb that I ordered.
