I cannot wait until my hair is long enough for a bun. Your regimen sounds great, I bet the daily washings is really helping as well as the shower cap. If I could wash and bun everday I would, but I don't want to be looking like /images/graemlins/antlers.gif

Well, I've got a something on my hair today. Last night I had company so I just con-washed that awful rollerset. I lightly toweled my hair and then just plopped my satin cap on my wet hair w/o even combing it straight back. Well, luckily when I got my hair relaxed I got it cut into really great layers because you know how hairdressers (good ones) say that with the right cut you should be able to really just wash and go. Well, my hair looks aight today, I'm not gonna win any hairshow prizes, but it's not as bad looking as it could have been.

Your hair does look good. I am curious about your relaxing regimine. How frequently do you do touch-ups and with what kind of relaxer? What is your application methodology? How long do you leave it in? It seems like you have been able to retain some curl to your hair, so when it's actually wet, it looks more texturized than straight. Me likee.

Thank you, Options! /images/graemlins/wave.gif I relax every 5-7 weeks with Optimum Care no-lye relaxer. I apply it at the crown first since that is my most resistant area. I then begin at the back (or nape of the neck) and apply to my root. I try not to let the chemical touch the rest of my hair. I apply the relaxer to my whole head within 15 minutes. I noticed that I retain a lot of curl and usually applied a leave in and let it air dry as a result. I hope I answered your questions. Let me know otherwise. /images/graemlins/scratchchin.gif

Awww, you ladies are way too sweet. /images/graemlins/kiss.gif I tried SengsChick's bun and it failed so I decided to just pull it back and then for something different pull it to the side. Mamacita, rollersets just don't like me/images/graemlins/nono.gifso I opted to blow it dry which is something I promised myself I wouldn't do but there's just no other way to get my hair so straight. I hot curled it and wrap it at night and bun it during the day. Poohbear, I washed it daily for nearly 6-7 months. I flat-ironed it here and there. With the cold weather I decided to give my hair a break and wear it dry. I wash it once a week now and alternate between air-drying and blowing it dry. Since my hair is still healing from all the color I applied to it over the summer I sit under the dryer with Salerm wheat germ mask once every two weeks. I don't wear it down anymore.
