Your hair is coming along sooo nicely /images/graemlins/weird.gif It has grown so much in the past 8 months /images/graemlins/shocked.gif I also LOVE the color on you, it compliments your skintone. Keep up the good work.

Yes, it's very pretty. /images/graemlins/smile.gif and you've made great progress. I looked at your pics today and was thinking the same thing. Your blowdry and hotcurl turned out really pretty.

OT: CH I love your "Hot Damn" expression. It reminds me of something my grandpa or uncle would say. /images/graemlins/rofl.gif

Ohmigod...I got called out by CaramelHonee. Now THAT'S an honor! Thanks, ladies. I was sooo discouraged because I've had some color issues lately. The blonde highlights from spring had to go so I tried a black rinse. Well the rinse, rinsed right out after 20 days and went from gray to purple to <font color="green">green </font> which meant my hair was in its weakest state. Several weeks ago, I used a red based semi-permanent to save it. Now with the relaxer I applied last night I just have to keep nurturing it.

It's funny that all of you would reply. I have literally stalked each of your albums and learned so much. Kitchen_tician I just can't get my curls like yours, hon (OT - I was lurking on another hair board last night and someone said you were their hair inspiration). Anyway, it really means a lot and it's so encouraging to have the help of so many of you, especially on those days when I just don't think I will ever get to my hair goal. @ Lisa, I have been trying my best to keep the heat off so for several months I did a wash and go with Creme of Nature and Salerm poo and cond. I applied Surge twice a day. I maybe flat ironed it less than ten times in six months. Now that the fall is here and I have to deal with DC's cold weather I am going to do a very lose bun and wrap it at night.

Wow thats some major progress. Girl keep up to good work its obviously working for you. Within 4 months it looks like you received 4-5 inchs of growth.

LorraineG, I remember a while back, you said you used Surge Plus 14 on your scalp twice daily. Do u use this on your hair even when your hair is dry or when you wear a rollerset???

I love the progress of your hair! Keep up the good hair care!

Hey Poohbear,
I ran out of Surge last week because I was using it consistently -- once in the morning and again in the evening. I only use it on my roots and never the rest of my hair. I would wash daily as a precaution. Now that my hair is dry and I wear it straight or in a bun I am going to continue using it but very little.

For those ladies who asked for my regimen, here it is.

***Daily***
Wash with Creme of Nature shampoo
Condition with Salerm conditioner
Spray Surge Plus 14 lightly on roots
Use GENERIC Nexxus Humectress on entire head
Either wear down or roll into a loose bun
At night again spray Plus 14 lightly on roots
Sleep in shower cap to lock in moisture (again, not recommended if you live with your man, not cute LOL)

***Weekly***
Sit under dryer with Salerm wheat germ mask
Apply drops of Alter Ego revitalizing lotion and massage scalp

***Diet***
No caffeinated beverages
Very little sugary foods
2 liters of water daily
Vitamins: NourishHair, daily woman's vitamin (now on prenatal vitamins)
fish, broccoli, steak
Atkins protein shakes

***Current style for fall***
Coconut oil on ends
Very loose bun with decorative hair chopsticks to dress it up
Wrap it up at night
Light spray of Surge Plus 14 every other day since my hair is dry now
