Looking from the outside

Why is it so easy and logical when you are giving constructive relationship advice but so hard to see things the same way when you are the one in the relationship.

It's easy looking in from the outside but damn hard when your on the inside.

Emotions and rose colored glasses. Also you think 'it' (whatever 'it' is) would never happen to you.

The story of my life!

I think that when you're on the inside there is too much going on like emotions, pride and in some cases the projection and protection of your feelings. It cloaks you like a fog.
Its alway easier to be unbiased & objective to people you don't know/don't feel a connection with/don't generally like compared to those you do.

When you're not emotionally invested, you draw conclusions based on facts.

When you're emotionally invested, you draw conclusions based on feelings.

And feelings are often deceiving.
