I'm more interested in y'alls "why"s than "what"s, LOL.
I do try my best to avoid Luster's Pink Oil Moisturizer.. it's just so heavy. I use it with my homemade setting lotion, but i used like 1 part Luster's, 5 parts water!
I also avoid:
Hair Greases of any kind
Hair Gels of any kind
Hawaiian Silky moisturizing spray - this stuff is awful...it only made my scalp dry and flaky - this is a no no..
Let's Jam - this should only be used on little girl's ponytails, I swear!
Pump It Up Hair Spritz - I remember trying to brush out some curls I set with this stuff.. I thought I was tenderheaded before..SMH!

Redken Soft Hair poo & conditoner: left my hair hard !
CD hair butter: great at first but major build up afterwards.
Castile shampoo: left my hair too gummy feeling
Mirta de Perdes oil shampoo: accidently went in my eyes while shampooing and I thought I had to go to the hospital from the burning.
Ion deep conditoner: it just sat on my hair

Grease (My hair get so STIFF and tacky like...even when it says non-tacky or greasy)
Pink anything...(Just...bleh...)
Conair flat iron (Or any for that matter. My hair is doing fine without heat...I don't know why I even touched it. I'll just have to deal with the new growth until relaxer time.)
VO5 conditioners..(They suck...everything out of my hair.)

African Wonders Naturalaxer-BHSGO was all abuzz about this product. So I tried it. Bad move. Very bad move. It dried out my hair so bad that it was crunchy when you touched it. I could not comb it and it was tearing out in crunchy handfulls. The company sent me free products in an effort to fix the problem. I experienced excessive thinning for over 3 months. To this day I have a palm sized thin spot (you can see my scalp) right in the front of my hair line. It never grew back.
NTM-Sigh. All Neutrogena products hate my hair. After I wash I have matted knots the size of quarters all thru my hair that cannot be detangled. NTM and all other conditioners have no effect on the knots. I literally have to cut or pull them out of my hair. So much hair loss! Neutro and I cannot co-exist.
JF Lazaritique Deep Action Treatment W/ Carrot Oil-I would have been better off just throwing my money out the window. This stuff ain't cheap. And this silly rabbit bought 2 tubes. And what did it do? Not a thing. Nothing. I was like huh?? Oh well, at least it did not take my hair out!
Just sitting here shaking my head--fletgee.

I would never use:
Keracare Humecto - Just too much mineral oil for me
Elasta Qp Recovery- also has that icky mineral oil
Any hair grease/most pomades- you already know by now that my hair doesn't like mineral oil
S-curl- did nothing bad to me, but frizzes my hair out. It did help me to grow my kitchen back by keeping it ultra moisturized, but I will not use it again.
Kenra styling gel-supposed to be medium hold, but my hair got really hard
Motions foaming wrap lotion- has sd-40 alcohol and will dry your hair out
motions moisture plus conditioner- waaaay too much silicone, resuslts in not moisturized hair with silicone build up
Pink oil- don't think that it's necessary to say anything about that
Pantene anything except for mousse
Infusium anything execpt for their leave in
Elasta qp feels like silk-my hair was greasy it
Any serum-they just aren't necessary for me to use
Wild growth oil- it has mineral in it and that just wierds me out
hot 6 oil- has silicone in it
Organics carrot-tea tree oil- drying for the hair, tea tree oil isn't for me
