Luster's Pink Oil and Lustrasilk Moisture Max--grease in a bottle.

Infusium 23. Gave me crispy crunchy hair.

Redken Heavy Cream Conditioner.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yep - what Sassygirl said. Also adding Nexxus Humectress, Redken Shampoo and Redken's All Soft Heavy Cream. All Soft - yeah, right.

keracare humecto=dryness and extreme breakage for me.

Profectiv break free=yuck

aphogee=recipe to further break your hair off more.

Deep Brilliance Moisture -- expensive and did nothing for my hair
NTM Silk Touch Leave-In -- makes my hair feel waxy
S-Curl -- makes my hair feel slimy AND waxy. Bleccch!

Blax, just curious, why won't you use Dom conditioners anymore?

I used to buy them myself and just don't find that they are the great any more.

I can't get over how many people hate Infusium23...my hair LOVES to airdry with that on...it feels SO silky afterward. Oh well, here's my list:

KeraCare Dry and Itchy Moisturizing Conditioner
Castor Oil with nothing added
Surge Woojee Cream

I hate to be another Poohbear, but I LOATHE Motions as well
Pink Oil was my savior back in the day, but can't stand it now
NTM is a fave around the parts, but does my hair no justice (except the serum)
Suave conditioners
Patene R&N
ORS Olive Hair Lotion (just feels like a coat of gunk)
CON Nourishing Conditioner (did nothing 4 my hair)

Oh I forgot to add Queen Helene's hot oil CRAP....CRAP, CRAP, CRAP. My hair stunk and it didn't do anything. Hated it...ended up giving it away.... /images/graemlins/barf.gif

For almost the same price you can buy olive oil and use that as a hot oil. I found that my hair greatly improved when I stopped using those manufactured hot oils (some of which contain no actual oil or too much mineral oil -- would you put baby oil in your hair as a hot oil treatmet? That's mineral oil and that's basically what a lot of these cheapo companies are pushing on us with their hot oil treatments).

I use my own kitchen oil, avocado, safflower, olive and coconut if I am being fancy with these hot oil treatments.

Elasta qp's mango butter-prefer clairol's vitapointe
all pantene shampoos-drying
kerakare humecto cond.-too watery
hair grease
surge 14-irritates scalp
evoo and honey concoction-makes hair hard
i'll just stick to regular old evoo
hennalucent-I have a hard time rinsing out all the little particles and it is extremely too messy
cocnut milk- lime juice- also too messy

I'm in the process of phasing certain products in my collection.
Lottabody Wrap n Setting Creme: I just don't know how to use it without getting crunchy hair for roller sets. I will be using the rest as hair gel.

Proclaim Wrapping Mousse: Same deal.

Aura Rosemary Rinse: This is a good product but I really don't need it.

Dabur Amla Hair Oil: I don't want it anymore. The smell isn't that bad but I don't think I am seeing any benefits from it. I have about 9 oz. left and I will be selling/trashing it sooner or later.

Jason Hemp Shampoo: It was a bit stripping IMO. I will give it a couple of more tries before trashing it.

The Bath and Body Works shampoo, conditioner, and styling products: Thank goodness for relatives. Also thank goodness I bought it cheap or I would have been really mad. *lol*.

L'Oreal Mermade Treatment: I don't hate it but I am phasing it out from my collection. Not a bad conditioner but I feel it wasn't meant for my hair. Hard to explain.

Soft & Beautiful Botanicals Braids Herbal Hair and Scalp Mist: I'm sorry but this stuff smells like urine and made my scalp itchy. I thought that's the reason why it was at the dollar store. Wrong. This stuff just smells horrible. I might pass this on to relatives.

Isoplus Hot Hot Hot Curler Blow Dryer Protection: IMO I don't think this stuff protects my hair from heat. My Redken Heat Glide is much better in my opinion.

What was the matter with these products and which ones did you use? Did they leave your hair crunchy, etc?

Sebastian Laminates Cleansing Polish.

UGH UGH UGH. Thats all I have to say about this horribly horribly stripping shampoo.

Co-signing on the Pink Oil and Moisture Max hate. Someone needs to open an investigation to figure out just why, like everyone is asking, that Pink Oil crap is still around. Whoever said it's a right of passage for young black girls wasn't kidding, except I was still using it up to ten years ago. Using it was a vicious cycle: apply Pink Oil = dry hair = apply more Pink Oil to alleviate dryness = drier hair . . . there was just no way out.

KeraCare Humecto - hair had no slip afterwards and was tangly. Not worth the money.

Nexxus Humectress - left hair feeling like sandpaper.

Redken All Soft Shampoo and All Soft Heavy Cream - see Nexxus Humectress.

Luster's Pink Oil
Infusium 23
Soft and Beautiful relaxers
Nexxus Botanoil(ICK)
Doo Gro stuff

everything above made my hair hard and heavy.

I will never buy:

KeraCare- I'm using this bottle but It makes my hair itch really bad when I leave it in.

Natures Gate products-When I was natural, this stuff sucked big time. The brown conditioner smelled all homey but that was about it. It made my hair feel liked I rolled around in the dirt and let it get tangle-BOO! Haven't used in almost 4 years.

Creme of Nature- I don't know why my hair doesn't like it anymore. My hair used to love it. But now, its not that good for me. It tangles my hair and when that stuff get's in your eyes lawd have mercy. Haven't used this in almost two years. Sitting under the cabinet.

Aussie-Absolutely horrible ALL of their stuff. Haven't used in almost two years. Gave it away.

Aphogee-As much as I love the results of this stuff I HATE the cat piss smell. I hate the dripiness. I need to find something that works just as well but isn't that messy. If not, I have to keep using this--and punishing myself.

Motions CPR: I love their Moisture Plus Oil Conditioner and Shampoo, but I hate the CPR. I hate the twigs, and the smell. So I had to find a substitute. I haven't used this in about 5 years.

But I love a lot of the products people hate: Infusium, Pantene, Breakthru, Motions (Oil Plus conditioner that is).

My latest misadventure in hair products happened when I tried Tigi Bed Head Chocolate Head hair repair treatment. It sucked big time. My hair was not moisturized at all after I used it, and it was tangly and hard to comb through. I will never use it again.
