Cayenne0622 said:I keep hearing good things about ORS. So, this is an actual Lye relaxer? Hmmmm.... I'm trying to find a good relaxer to stick with for a long time and I'm sure I need to stay with Lye because of my already porous hair and since no-lye leaves the cuticle lifted, I'm sure my hair would be a mess. I wanted to copy Kinikakes but I just don't think I can do the no-lye at this point. I'm trying to decide between ORS Olive Lye and Mizani Mild. I'm really starting to be nervous about buying relaxers from the BSS because who knows how long they've been sitting on the shelf.

So for this last touch up, I switched to Phytorelaxer Index I and that also left me underprocessed, dry and limp. So, I'm really wondering if our problems have to do with using No-Lye relaxers. I am thinking of trying ORS Lye when I relax again, this time in October. I was warned about No-Lye years ago, but was to scared to use Lye. My hair is already very soft and fine, and I think I'm still beholden to all the stereotypes about Lye relaxers being too harsh for soft hair.
I'm still at a loss...![]()
