Phyto Index I. I leave it on for about 15 minutes. I had been natural for 2 years. I started with Phyto in May and I have not had any breakage issues. I will retouch in Novemeber. So, I will only relax twice a year.

Thanks a lot!!

Affirm. I'm not sure which one my stylist used. It was my first visit to her. I'm going ask her before I go next time. I would prefer that something mild be used on my hair and that its not relaxed bone straight.

Affirm sensitive scalp i think its mild....but the last relaxer i had was Vitale and i liked how it made my hair look full and thick even though it was freshly relaxed...

Silk Elements Regular Lye mixed with 1/4 cup of Olive oil.

I still burned my scalp this last time around but it does well on my hair. I process for 15 minutes. I will probably go down to 12:)

Vitale Life and Body regular Lye-relaxer.

OT: Trimbride you are really taking it back, first the get along gand, lol and now Teddy , , girl those were the days. The kids today don't even know how good we had it.

ORS Olive Oil Lye Normal strength, the back 15 min and the front 12 min. It's good stuff, not harsh at all, and I did not burn.

Gentle Treatment No Lye Relaxer, by Johnson Products (Mild)

Kinikakes, your hair is beautiful. What are some of your staple products?

I keep hearing good things about ORS. So, this is an actual Lye relaxer? Hmmmm.... I'm trying to find a good relaxer to stick with for a long time and I'm sure I need to stay with Lye because of my already porous hair and since no-lye leaves the cuticle lifted, I'm sure my hair would be a mess. I wanted to copy Kinikakes but I just don't think I can do the no-lye at this point. I'm trying to decide between ORS Olive Lye and Mizani Mild. I'm really starting to be nervous about buying relaxers from the BSS because who knows how long they've been sitting on the shelf.

I use profectiv regular. It's not 50 bucks like phyto but it works for me. I use it because it texlaxes my hair since it's not strong enough. It's really moisturizing for a no-lye relaxer too.

Last relaxer was design essentials, regular lye, with olive oil mixed in, texlaxed for 10 minutes and loved it.

Thanks for this growinglong777. I've got a tub of this, how much olive oil did you use with your design essentials? And how do you measure the amount to use in your hair?

TIA

I used one teaspoon full of extra virgin olive oil and I have the tub also.. I actually used about 5 tablespoons of the relaxer.. and it was actually too much..I only left it on for 10 minutes, smoothing only with my hand.. and it was just what I wanted.
