Silicon Mix (Dominican) is also great AND with excellent slip. Strong smell, but I like having smell good hair for days.

I'm not too big on cones and stuff, so that leaves out KeraCare and Mizani.

Never tried Elucence, but it's been on my list. Kenra was my staple dc for the longest, but since my thyroid's been actin up, it just doesn't work the same  But I do agree with Aggie, that it's best if you clarify before using it. If you don't clarify, you won't like the results. Kenra (at least on MY hair) doesn't play nice with other conditioners :perplexed

I didn't like Kenra MC when I tried it

Mizani Moisturefuse is my staple Moisturizing DC. It doesen't really provide slip, but it soaks into your hair and provides softness and moisture without weight.

I have never tried Elucence or Humecto. (Humecto is on my list to try next)

Welp, I have used all of them :look:

When I was texlaxing I liked Mizani, Humecto, EMB and Kenra MC.

Now that I have way more natural hair than relaxed, I only still love the Elucence. This one has worked on both my natural and chemically treated hair beautifully. It's a definite staple.

Hmmm, I think I have a liter of KMC I need to post on the exchange forum...

For those who maybe interested, Trade secret has 2 Litres for $30 on the Kenra, but the sale ends the 31st. so You gotta run.(And all Joico Products are Buy-One Get-One 50% Off, till the 31st.)
Happy Shopping

Trade Secrets is currently for September 2009 running a sale for 2 liters of Kenra for 32. They also have a sale on Joico Conditioners and other conditioners. It ends September 30, 2009.:lick:

Elucence MB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

co-signing!! :yep: I love using this for my leave-in as well. My hair was dried out with products that didn't work out for me (ladies I will be selling them on the exchange forum soon) but I washed my hair, deep conditioned and used this as my leave-in and my hair felt nice and soft, no joke.

Keracare Humecto!!!! The new formula in the bottle is the same as the one in the 5lb tub!! It's great!!! It leaves my hair sooo moisturized. My hair has been really dry lately becuz of the highlights and the relaxer. But ever since using the Humecto it's been retaining so much moisture and it's softer to the touch!!!

Out of the 4 - the only one I have tried is Kenra MC and I love it...great moisture and slip

Updating a old post - as of 5/8/11 - I am using Elucence MB and Kenra MC they both work great - IMO Elucence works a little faster than KMC (meaning the moment it touches my hair - I can rinse right out and still be good) I haven't tried leaving the EMB in my hair for any extended amount of time...normally no more than 5-10 minutes...

I've tried all 4.

Moisturefuse- used to be very very good....but they changed the formula and its only so so for me right now. Works great in the regular mizani relaxer system as the mid step conditioning treatment but that is about it.

Keracare Humecto- I like the keracare shampoo and the other conditioning mask but this product is still a no go for me. I have a huge bottle of it that I only touched once :ohwell:

Kenra MC-Good product. 5-10 minutes is all you need and works great for weekly use inbetween strengthening deep conditioning products. Its a good value too especially when you can get a liter of it on sale.

Elucence- LOVE LOVE it! I like this product because as an all around multitasker, it rocks. I actually think it works better when used for less than 10 minutes. It makes detangling a breeze and you don't need to use a lot of product.

I love love Kenra MC I buy it by the liters when Trade Secret does the BOGO offer twice a year. Actually they have it 50% at Trade Secret.

I have 100% natural hair 4a hair I started using Kenra MC 5 yrs ago. It moisturizes and I can use it as a leave in, regular conditioner or deep conditioner. It has great slip and dries great in my hair. I use it on my 2 yr olds daughters 3c hair and on my son's dreads!

Highly recommended it has a light coconut smell.

Elucence is from the same company and has a fresh peach smell. I just like the feel of Kenra better and the fact I can get it BOGO liter from Trade Secret.

wait you use moisturfuse as your treatment before neutralizing?
I thought you were supposed to use protein as your mid step??

I see this is a bit of an old thread, but want to get the record straight that Elucence MB & Kenra MC are NOT the same (unless one of them has changed formulas or something). They are made by the same company. I think Kenra MC works best as an instant conditioner.

Would you still recommend Kenra MC as an instant condish or do you prefer to now leave it on for 1hr?

I made the mistake of not clarifying before using Kenra the first time and oh no...not a good end result. Now, I only use Kenra when it's clarifying day since I'm not using Kenra exclusively.
