So, I'm about to order a new deep conditioner today. My hair loves my Sitrinillah, but I'm trying to find something to alternate it with (trying to make it last as long as possible.) I'm currently transitioning and need a good, moisturizing deep conditioner that I can buy in large quantities (i.e. KeraCare's 5 lb. tub.)

I've heard good things about these four, and cant make up my mind. I'm trying to place my order before I leave work tonight, so I really need your opinions Which would you recommend? TIA

ETA: I also want to mention that most of the reviews I'm finding are from relaxed ladies. I appreciate all of your responses, but if anyone is natural or transitioning, I'd love to hear about your experiences with any of these conditioners as well.

Good Question... I will be intrested in knowing about these conditioners as well.... I used Mizani Moisturefuze and didnt really like it. So ill be intrested to know what others think.

I've been reading a few old threads, and I see both Sistaslick AND Tiffers recommend Kenra MC, which has me leaning towards that direction. I just cant make up my mind.

Kenra MC and Elucence MB are one in the same. They are both great. I use Elucence, but Kenra is more easily accessible on the local level. Maybe you should try your local Trade Secrets/Beauty Express.

Co-Sign on this entire post. I loooove both of these conditioners as deep conditioners, but I use Kenra more often because I can get it at my beuaty supply. :yep:

My hair hates Elucence MB:nono: but loves the other three. I especially love the Mizani Moisturefuse:lick: because it really softens my hair and adds a tremendous amount of moisture to it. It is one of the only DC's I have that softens my hair very well after the drying effects of a henna/ayurveda treatment. Kenra MC is nice too but lately Keracare humecto is working better on my hair than the Kenra MC.

I find that I would have to clarify my hair of the last conditioner I used to get the full benefit of the next one I use:yep:. So it depends on your hair and what it likes. Everyone's hair is different and responds differently to different products, ya know?

Yeah, I may end up making the switch after my 1/2 gallon is gone and purchase Kenra when they have the BOGO sale.

I'm transitioning and my hair LOVES Elucence MB!! I use it as a rinse out conditioner, leave-in/moisturizer and a deep conditioner! :)

Elucence MB works best for my hair. Kenra MC left my hair a tangled mess. I've haven't tried the other two conditioners.

For those who maybe interested, Trade secret has 2 Litres for $30 on the Kenra, but the sale ends the 31st. so You gotta run.(And all Joico Products are Buy-One Get-One 50% Off, till the 31st.)
Happy Shopping

I have not tried the Kenra yet...I will check it out.

On the others...I prefer Elucence if I am wearing my hair textured/natural. I only use Moisturefuse if I am planning to flat iron. It does not weigh my hair down at all...yet it still moisturizes really well.

I have and love all of the conditioners mentioned in the poll but my absolute favorite of all is Mizanai Moisturefuse. Next would be Kenra MC, then Keracare Humecto and last Elucence Moisture Balancing Conditioner. The one I know for sure that I will re-purchase is MM.

Kenra MC and Keracare Humecto.......I'm also going to suggest 2 more Motions Moisture Plus(I believe it's similar to humecto and it is available in a 1 lb tub) and GVP Conditioning Balm(this is Sally's version of Biolage) the biggest I've seen this in is 16 oz. Sally's has it on sale 2 for 10.

I don't think it's fair to compare these. But I'll share with you objective info about the ones I know because I don't want you to be disappointed.

Kenra MC - GREAT conditioner but I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR THOSE TRANSITIONING. For the simple fact that it doesnt have as mush slip as the other ones on the list. It actually might tangle your hair. It's more of an emollient- like, it coats your hair w moisture but not really infuses unless you leave it on for a long time. I like it, but again, not great slip.

Elucence - never tried it (sorry)

Humecto - I would recommend this for transitioning hair as it moisturizes AND leaves incredible slip. I would also not mix anything in your Humecto til you know that it works in your hair.

Mizani Moisturefuse- I haven't categorized this conditioner yet, but, its OK for my type 4 hair. I used it as a quick condish and a deep condish and it didn't leave much slip. I also found it to build up

I HTH

I used this last week, it was okay, but I guess I was expecting more, the smell was overwelming to me. Im glad I only got the small bottle.

I see this is a bit of an old thread, but want to get the record straight that Elucence MB & Kenra MC are NOT the same (unless one of them has changed formulas or something). They are made by the same company. I think Kenra MC works best as an instant conditioner.

hated kenra mc
love keracare humecto
never tried elucence
love mizani moisturefuse

but if i had to choose one it would be keracare.

i loved kenra mc at one time
but then...it stopped working for me
dunno what happened there.

i really wanna try the elucence moisture balancing
but i dont feel like waiting for it to be delivered
wish i could get it locally ((sigh))...

Thanks for mentioning the Motions Moisture Plus! :dance7: This is my secondary conditioner, and it's fabulous alone! My stylist recommended it four years ago. However, when mixed with oil(s) and butter(s), :lick: it's just as good as my Verifen Complex Advance Conditioning Treatment. The results are the same. The price is fabulous, too, $19.50 for an 80 ounce tub! I compared the ingredients, and it is similar to KeraCare Humecto.

After I use up my current stash of conditioners, I'll keep my eye open for the next sale of GVP Conditioning Balm.

Not on your list but Hair Rules Quench is the bomb.com... I have put it on DRY DIRTY MATTED hair and my hair looks soaking wet and tangle free after I run it through in sections. I have yet to find anything that can top that. I haven't used any of the above products. I'm natural by the way.

Hmmm, I use Kenra MC and it's wayyy too thick to be used as an instant conditioner on my hair in my opinion. It works fine as a DC for me. Although sadly, I think one has to clarify their hair of all other hair products then use this to get good results:ohwell:.

I have all the conditioners above and i like Mizani Moisturefuse the best, Keracare Humecto is far too runny as a DC for my taste but I still like it and mix it with other DCs. Elucence MB does not leave enough slip on my hair:nono: and amazingly, this is where Keracare Humecto comes in - for a little slip on my fine hair when I use it alone.

I haven't heard of this conditioner before? This tops all of your other conditioners? What are the other ones you use? Thanks for mentioning it.

Love love love Elucence MB and Kenra MC both mixed with honey and avocado oil!! Yummy combo to Deep Cond with heat 15 to 30 min!!!
But i voted for Elucence just because i can also use it as a leave and a moisturizer. HTH:blush:!!!

Hi Ladyaggie! Do you also find the Humecto in the tub to be runny too?
