Ok, dramatics aside. I tried the serum as part of my Joico routine yesterday. Initially, I could not feel any difference. But ....

This morning my hair felt live heaven! I took down my braids for a braid out and my hair has NEVER felt softer or more moisturized! If I EVER attempt to use another line, just send me a cyber slap :hardslap:

I did buy the Serum this Weekend. Must try it soon!:yep:

btw: *off subject Your Hair looks really, really Nice!

I've tried just about everything from the K-Pac line, but not the serum I have the serum from the Joico "Smooth Results" line and it's just ok for me.

But one product that I don't see many of you guys using is the K-pac Daily Conditoner. It's not a leave in, it's just the regular conditioner that can be used daily if you wash daily.

It is by far my absolute favorite product from this line, I don't know what it is about it but it leaves your hair so soft and silky, it's crazy! I've never gotten those results from the Intense Hydrator or the Moisture Recovery Balm. And even though K-Pac is technically a protein line it is still very moisturizing. :yep:

Don't sleep on the K-pac Daily Conditoner ladies, it is awesome.

I logged back in to just cosign this post. Been really busy this weekend but when I saw this post, I had to come cosign. I agree Silkii....it is slept on. Its the best joico product IMO. I just reordered another liter of it because it puts your hair on auto pilot. I am going back to letting a stylist do my weekly wash and set and this conditioner will be coming with me. The thing about it is that you only have to leave it in for a couple of minutes. Don't let it sit on for 30 minutes...just a couple mins and rinse out. It makes the biggest difference. And fine hair ladies, you have to get it. Its the best basic conditioner you can every have.

okay this is what I was looking for but may I ask why you like the kpak line more than the moisture recovery line? I mean, isn't one the kpak line supposed to be only protein? Help, need some clarity on this.

Hey Aggie.

The k-pak line is the "protein" line. The thing is that the only protein only product in the line is the reconstructor and even then, there is still a good amount of emollients in it. The line is for damaged or heavily styled hair which requires moisture to say supple and soft as well as proteins to help the hair keep the moisture and strengthen the hair preventing breakage. For us chemically treated ladies, this line IMO, especially with finer relaxed hair, rocks. The shampoo is concentrated and leaves my hair clean and soft without being overly mushy. The daily conditioner is a basic conditioner that strengthens the hair while giving it moisture. The reconstructor is when you need a stronger protein punch and the intense hydrator is for severly dry and damaged hair. The liquid reconstructor is a leave in that is a better option for fine hair than the creamy version. The leave in protectant is nice as is the mousse.

One of the issues I see some people have with the k-pak line arise from using it too long. You don't need to leave these products on for 20-30-45 minutes all of the time. The reconstructor actually only works for 5 minutes at a time. In many salons if they think you need more, will rinse it out and reapply it for an additional 5 minutes; or they pull out the 17 minute miracle which again, only needs to be used as directed. I always get better results from this line when I follow the directions more closely. The k-pak daily conditioner says on my hair for a couple of minutes...thats it. I have never had to follow the k-pak line with anything else as long as I stuck closer to the directions. Since all of Joico products have a low pH, I also like the use these during the relaxer process.

:bump::bump::bump:

Is the Cuticle Sealer worth Purchasing? Results? Along with the Serum, I also bought the K-Pak Daily Conditioner and the Daily Moisturizing Conditioner.

Chile' Slow Down !:lachen: You Didn't even take the time to tell me anything about the Cuticle Sealer!

*now going back to read through the Thread":nono:

Ok, about that Cuticle Sealer....

I use it after using the Chelating Shampoo and before the K-Pak Reconstructor. Apparently what it does is close the cuticle and when the K-Pak is applied, it adds an additional seal for strength.

I used the Cuticle Sealer for the first time immediately post relaxer and my hair came out so very thick and strong. The cuticle sealer has the lowest PH that I have seen in any product (2.5 PH).

I totally agree. This is the best conditioner that I've ever used, and I've used a lot!

Very detailed review, thanks GF and thanks to you and silkii a lot for talking about the Joico daily conditioner because you are right, I totally overlooked that one. I may add that to my wish list afterall:yep:. That color endure is slowly grabbing my attention as well.

No problem, gotta look out for each other, girl!

Hmph. Tried everything I bought yesterday and my hair doesn't feel so hot. Its either (a) I used the Intense Hydrator with heat for too long (20 mins), (b) I clarified, (c) I used too much of the Smoothing Balm (probably the culprit) or (d), my hair is being an arse.

Question: Is the Smoothing Balm and the Moisture Recovery Balm the Same Product?:perplexed I know I have the Moisture Recovery....

Now...I will have to look at my Stash.:look: I have used them all with great results. Don't think I used Heat with I used the Intense Hydrator tho'

*wow......i'm glad this isn't a game show, because i am stumped* I want to say (b) or (d)....But can I use my Lifeline??

*Okay: I'd like to call Gym, silkii, or taz:lachen:

I'm really Sorry, I couldn't help.

I co-washed with Joico moisture recovery today and I forgot how much i loved it....The way I determine how moisturizing a conditioner is by the way my hair curls up....My new-growth was so moisturized and curly and extremely soft!!! I love it. On thursday i will co-wash with the regular k-pak conditioner ( I've had it for months and dont remember using it)

I think it could possibly be a combination of both A and C. Because as Gym stated earlier these products are best used as directed. I don't think the Hydrator mentions using it with heat in the directions and you're right 20 minutes may have been too long. And I know from personal experience that too much of a smoothing balm can weigh your hair down and leave it feeling coated. This would be my best guess. Hope that helps. :yep:

I think that it is (a) and (c).

I NEVER use any of my Joico products with heat and never go past 5 minutes.

I really try to used the products as directed with wonderful results.

any other reviews for the split end mender?

I have it and I love the way it feels when I put it on, it's really silky and even detangles. As far as it's ability to acutally "mend" split ends, the jury's still out on that one. I don't think any product's actually capable of doing that. But it sure does make my hair feel nice. :yep:

LOL OK A and C i got it. I just can't wrap my mind around using a DC for only 5 minutes! I feel like it hasn't penetrated the hair shaft completely so I go ahead and go under the dryer for 15-20 mins. Next time Ill try using as directed!

Ok, I am trying the Silk Result for Thick/Coarse hair line tonight. Will report on the results.

I can not wait to get home! I need to get a life!!

I have the body luxe foam and I like it alot when I rollerset. If you like the really va va vroom curly look, this foam will help. It gives my hair a lot of body and movement. It nice even though there are other products that give similar results.
