Hit:
TGIN green tea leave-in.

It instantly softens my hair...like on contact. After looking over the ingredients, I figured that it would be a winner and I am glad that I finally gave it a try. I used it to do a rollerset and it gave great slip and manageability, things that I look for when rollersetting my dense hair. Not a huge fan of the smell, but it is light enough not to be offensive. Now about this damn bottle....

Miss:
The TGIN leave-in bottle. Sigh...WTH TGIN! I can tell that I am gonna have to beat the bottle against the counter top when it gets to the half way point. It is made of the hardest plastic. You can barely squeeze the product out. They really need to rethink that bottle.

That TGIN bottle! @rileypak warned me, but it still irritated me. My bottle is very full just SITTING ON A SHELF. Uggh.

I mean, really?!? I can't imagine how someone with carpel tunnel or arthritis could possibly use this. If they were smart, they'd do something about it. I've seen complaints all over the internet about that bottle.

I have been warning folks all up and down this forum about that TGIN leave in bottle.
I still want to revisit it but every time I see it in the store and it's still in that wretched bottle

It has great ingredients and a great name. It works. It smells fine. But I don't use it because it's in a bottle and not a tube. Crazy.

I thought about cutting the bottle open and putting the product in a squeezable color applicator bottle, but I instead I just keep reaching for my other leave ins. Oh well. Can't say I wasn't warned.

I could not enjoy the performance of the product after fighting with the durn bottle.

Worse than Bear Fruit Hair. Their bottles were annoying, but at least they were soft.

I have. I don't remember if they responded or not because it's been a long time but I know we're definitely not the only ones who think it's terrible.
Honestly, I think they're holding on to their aesthetic but that leave in should be in a squeeze tube.

J. Monique's Coco almond hair milk.
This is a lovely moisturizing LI/moisturizer. It absorbs well and keeps my hair moisturized for a few days. The reason I can't love it is the scent. The fragrance is sickeningly sweet with slight floral undertones that lingers for awhile and it makes me nauseous.

SD's Avocado DC'er, MJ's Rapid Recovery and SM's Anti Breakage (hated it).

These three recently come to mind.

All three made me feel like I was going to hurl.

Hit: finally got second day hair that is moisturizer and defined without white residue. I mixed SMCES with SMCS. No leave in no oil applied to soaking wet hair. I AM SOOOO HAPPY!

These three recently come to mind.

All three made me feel like I was going to hurl.

That SM Antil Breakage does smell horrible. I thought I was going throw up too. One of the worst smelling products I've ever come across.

My stomach hurts just thinking about it lol. Absolutely horrible.

I don't know how they actually approved of that scent. I couldn't stomach it and I don't know people can either. Feeling nauseous all now. Yuck!

Lol! I like how the coconut (pink packaging) line smells. It's artificial though.

Another one that made me nauseous is the raw shea (yellow packaging) line. Yuck! Smells so bad and is very strong! I don't know how these products pass final testing.

Yezzz! Now I am going to go back and examine all the ingredients of the products I used on wash day to see what is common. I prepooed with coconut oil, shampooed with SM lo po shampoo, lo po condish for rinse out, Mielle Organics DC and the shea moisture combo.

I agree some of it is horrible but if it works, I'll tolerate it. That aphogee two step is horrible as well but when I relaxed I used it faithfully.
