Thanks for the info. I saw this one on eBay too. I just don't trust using tap water. I've seen the rust and other crap it can cause. I'm leaning towards one by stinternational or EVASalons, both use distilled water and have a year warranty. I'm also checking out the Professional Quality one on LCL, but it's backordered until 7-25-11.

Yea I got it because the professional one was on backorder as usual.... That Professional one is always on back order everytime I go on the site.. The only problem I had with the steamer is the little cup that the water drips in from the steam it broke off.. I just glued it back together and its still on.. I always used distill water too I did run out one day and started to use tap but I just didn't steam my hair that day and now after reading your comment I am glad I didn't..

This is the steamer I've decided to get. It's from Eva-Salon in LA. $139, free shipping and 1 year warranty.

@CoffeeYou are going to love it and with all those good products you have what will you decide to use 1st.. lol.. That is what helped me to transition was the steamer because it detangles so good after that steam hits the roots.. Then I was able to find a good conditioner to help with the tangles too..Let me know how you enjoy it

I purchased:

*L'Oreal Color Vive Conditioner for colored hair that is dry
*L'Oreal Nutri Vive Conditioner w. Omega 3, 6, Olive Oil, and Royal Jelly
*Garnier Fructis Length & Strength Fortifying Cream Conditioner
*Ramtirth Brahmi Oil
*Pure Sesame Oil
*Long Aid Curl Activator Gel

Various vitamins were restocked for health and hair. Thinking about trying KCCC, but haven't made the dive yet. I sooo want a steamer but holding off til Fall. Also want to try Carol's Daughter Tui Hair Oil. I'm stacked when it comes to oils. :lick:

LadyMacgyver I guess you missed my post about my steamer getting hurt :lachen:. I knocked it over and the hood cracked among other things. I'd had it for 2+ years. This will be my 2nd one.

Yea I missed that.. I know you were hurt when that happened..

Nairobi Foam Wrap- 5 botttles-ony because it was $ 5.99 at TJ Maxx regular price $12.99 or more. This is one of the best foam wrap lotion on the market.
Nairobi Protein Reconstructor
Dudley Pca Moisure Retainer was also $5.99 at TJ Max.
They also had Jane Carter,ORS and Carol's Daughter products but I dont use any of these lines.

Girl, my road trip to TJ Maxx's was in vain. They didn't have hardly anything. A few bottles of Joico, but even that wasn't good stuff. No Nairobi at all :perplexed.

@Coffee I bought the tap water one from LCL on Ebay as the other is on backorder: LANK

Tap water will hurt the steamer or my hair? Is it better to use distilled each time?

I still use Distilled water with my steamer (same model), I started off with distilled and ran out, didn't get it for a month and I started using regular tap water then all of a sudden I started getting white spots in my steamer and also it would spit hot water out of the holes. Until eventually it didn't give off any steam. I used vinegar to clean my until, bought 6 gallons of distilled water and haven't used tap since.

I'd still use distilled water.

Ms Coffee I attempted to tag you re your steamer purchase. Can you share your thoughts on it once you have tried it? I am looking to purchase a steamer for my birthday and like the fact that the one you shared is manual.

Thanks in advance,
tishee

Will do :spinning:.

I went to the vitamin store to pick up more Safflower Oil Capsules (has reduced tummy & waist fat) and of course I always look at hair products. I only purchased 1 thing, a product by Surya called "Restortive Serum for split ends".

From Sephora I ordered KeratinPerfect PerfectShine Keratin Oil.
Josie Maran Organic 100% Pure Argan Oil.

Today I bought:
EcoStyler Argan Oil (staple)

A couple 8oz plastic amber bottles to store my oils in... my staple oils are light sensitive - grapeseed, hemp seed, lavender, and eucalyptus oil - need to project them.

Dr Perricone Omega 3 supplements. This is more for my skin but the hair benefits are great too. I'm on a vitamin spree lately! :look:

morehairplease, I was just thinking about your statement, that the steamer I'm getting is manual. I'm not sure what you mean by that. Are you referring to the timer dial? If so, I think all of them are like that.

My first steamer has the same type of dial. I was extremely pleased with it; never had any problems. I did always use distilled water. If I wanted to use it more than 30 minutes, I would just re-set it after it stopped.

I'm sure the one I ordered will be just the same as the one I had before. I hope this helps you :yep:.
