I got mine 2 years ago and it was $99 with the $10 coupon and free shipping I paid $89 I think.. Can't remember I got the one that you can put tap water in..

Beautiful Curls Shampoo (sls free) BUT i dont like the strippy feeling so I only use it to clarify! But it does leave my hair very soft. I likey!

Thanks for the info. I saw this one on eBay too. I just don't trust using tap water. I've seen the rust and other crap it can cause. I'm leaning towards one by stinternational or EVASalons, both use distilled water and have a year warranty. I'm also checking out the Professional Quality one on LCL, but it's backordered until 7-25-11.

Coffee I bought the tap water one from LCL on Ebay as the other is on backorder: LANK

Tap water will hurt the steamer or my hair? Is it better to use distilled each time?

Tap water will eventually hurt your steamer. I've seen what hard tap water can do appliances that use it. Our tap water here is really hard and full of minerals, not good. It can cause rust and corrode your steamer.

I've always used distilled water in my steamer. A gallon will last me for about 6 uses and I steam 2 x per week. What's left in the part of the steamer that you put the water in, I pour back into the bottle.

I use a water filter in my shower and it really helps with my hair.
