It's FINALLY Happening! APL In 08! Who wants to join me?

I'm still in you guys. It was pretty unrealistic of me to think I was gonna reach APL by January of this year. However, I do think I will reach APL by this summer. Maybe June or July. I apply a mixture of mtg+mn nightly. I wash, deep condition, and condition once a week. I moisturize twice a day. And I baggy my whole head at night. I wear my hair in protective styles at all times and I use NO heat. I permed back in November and my new growth is already thick a coily... sigh:ohwell:... I hope I make it.

As soon as I hit APL I'll be cutting to even out my ends , So in that case I'm praying for full APL by SEPT , I know after this hard road for APL ...BSL will be a breeze. I believe APL must be the hardest goal to meet ...but enough said I think I see APL by end of MARCH ...then cut cut cut

I'm still in I think I made APL but cut my hair to even it out.
I will be more comfortable claiming APL when my hair is about 1 inch longer,I hope for full APL sometime at the end of summer/autumn

I'm in!!!

I'm about 11wks post, so I'll post a pic after a touchup next month.

I can't believe it...This will be the longest my hair has EVER been in my life! :drunk:

If they're healthy but uneven, I say wait. If they're splitting then don't wait.

And as much as I hate challenges(because I fail them ALL-LOL) Add me to this. I'm almost there. I'll post pics at the same time I reveal for the AAA experiment:grin:

Kelly wait until you reach just a little past your goal then trim to your actual goal length. That's what I'm gonna be doing when I'm slightly past APL.

I'm at APL length stretched but I'm gonna wait until May to get a trim and straighten. It should be a real nice "comfortable" APL then. I'm having so much fun not worrying about it. :yep:

Thanks to all of the ladies that responded to my question about timming, but my ends are split. I haven't had a decent trim in over a year. I think holding on to them as much as I want to is causing more harm then good.:wallbash:

Hi im new is Nexxus a perm or what is it? This is the second time I heard someone mention castor oil where can I buy the products im stuck at shoulder length trying to get to APL.
Oooooooooh I've so gotta get to a camera and take some pics. My hair is FINALLY looking like and doing what I want!

Since I went back to Nexxus (I'm using the ones in my siggy) and added Castor Oil my hair is a dream come true. It's beautifully thick and shiny and I rarely see a broken hair, and my last attempt at self relaxing was a success, and I plan to continue.

Right now I'm just using Nexxus and Castor Oil (Plus ApHogee treatment for damaged hair and ApHogee Intensive Keratin every once in a blue moon -- I just get the packets of my choice when I feel like I need a protien boost).

I'm gonna get pics up ASAP. I just wanted to kinda toot my own horn for a minute and thank all you wonderful ladies for posting your questions and comments on the board.

For me It's APL in 08! :yay: If someone hasn't already posted this challenge I'd like to start it (or otherwise I'd like to join).

There are no rules really...just post your tips and questions and offer support for those breaking through the shoulder length barrier on their way to APL (I really believe this is the most challenging phase of the hair growth process.)

I'm posting again to affirm that I really see myself with armpit length or longer hair this year. I'm very excited. :yay:
