In short, whatever you did to get to SL, I think??

That's my plan. Protective styling, but less bunning. More hair toys :drunk: and less product.
 
i'm in:grin: i believe i'm a little past sl right now and on week 7 of a 10-12 week strecth i'll see how close i am to APL when i get relaxer in january. i've never been APl before so this will be a whole new world:rolleyes: aimimg for full APl by the end of Dec 2008

My goal is to be APL by the end of '08. That's a conservative amount. But if I can make it past that point , I'll take it.
 
OOh yeah Im in. Im not much of a poster but im in here everyday lurking and searching.:grin: So u all will have to encourage me. I am SL now but shorter in the front. I think I can make it!! Happy growing to everyone.
 
I can't remember if I posted in here or not but I am in. I am going to get to Armpit this year. I have to. I think I am going to do the BT the MN and anything else thats working. I already started on the Indian products. They have thicken up my hair so I can't complain about it. I really like it.
 
I'm touching APL right now, but I will be trimming/cutting my hair gradually this year to get to full APL. I'm hoping to be full APL by December 2008!

chimming in finally out of braids after four years! I will def take this challenge ,althougth scary to be without braids after so long I must admitt lazy about doing my hair.
 
Count me in, too. I hope to be full APL by July and and midback by December 08. I have a very short torso, so brastrap length is midback for me.

I am using all homemade products and am loving the freedom of creating and fine tuning what herbs and oils makes my hair thrive. As well as being in control of "what" is in my hair and skin products and how much of "it" that is there. The woman at the store that I purchase some of my powders from calls me Ms. Mixalot! :yep:
 
Ok count me in on this one too.....Ladies is there gonna be a support thread or anything we are all trying to follow as a guide??? Im such a newbie to these challenges but I think I can make it work so I get full APL sometime in '08!! I'm all excited!!!!:yay::thumbsup:
 
I thought that I would be APL by Dec 2007, but I just reached full SL, I should be just about APL in the next 4-6 months, but by DEC 08 I should definetly be APL, I have been using a new line of products that I love. I switched to OLive Oil (Organics brand), relaxer, shampoo, and lotion conditoner (which is THE BOMB!!!). I am also doing a protien treatment ( aphogee protein treatment), once every 4-6 weeks, which is really helping. I am protecting my hair by using a weave. the lady I go to uses a net technique, and invisble tracks ( no glue or braids). Anyways I am happy wit hthe results so far, and should be able to swing APL hair very soon. Best wishes to everyone in the 08 !!!
 
Ok Please count a sista in...I did take pictures I just need to set up my fotiki. I want APL by July would be nice :grin:. So far I am:

Co-washing 2x wk w/ Pre-poo & DC
shampooing 2x month (hairdresser days)
MN every other night
Vitamins: Biotin, Iron, EPO, Super B-complex, Calcium (w/ Mag & Zinc), Beta Carotene
Stretching every 12 wks (gonna see how much longer I can get it)
Minimal heat (2x month)
Semi-protective styles (trying to keep my hair off my shoulders)

That's it for now...
 
I'm in. I'm currently about an inch or so away and hope to have apl by the spring. My regime will include: stretching at a minimum of 16 weeks, moisturizing daily, shampooing & deep conditioning weekly, minimal direct heat, and protective styling.
 
I'd like to join as well. I would like to be a healthy APL by Dec 08. OMG! I can only imagine. :kiss3: I’m currently about chin/neck length, but my ends are really raggedy (working on it).

Anyway, here’s my plan…

Protective styling (wigs)
Pre-pooing overnight with oil mixture
Shampoo & Deep Condition
MN & Sulfur 8 scalp treatment (at least 3x a week)
Moisturize daily
Seal with oil
Light protein when needed
Heavy protein every 8-10 weeks
 
Please add me, I hope to be full APL by Aug 08!

I'll update with my beginning pic after I relax tomorrow.
 
i joined both the 2007 and 2008 APL challenges.

but i havent updated here in quite a while!

i didnt make APL in 2007
but i'm darn close.

I am still in on this challege. I am getting a relaxer this week 11 week stretch. Its time. I will take some and post.
