Thank you so much ladies!!!! :superbanana: I wish those I knew were as excited for me as you all are. I have been cowashing everyday and wearing my infamous boring bun
erplexed, but I suppose it is making a big difference for me to retain length. I can't wait to get to BSL, because I plan to stay that length for a while because I am transitioning and I am going to trim off my relaxed hair and I would love to color/highlight my hair.
TCatt86 & Honeybuni84,When I did measure/take pics in Aug, I was grazing APL so I decided it would be better just to wait to get to full APL.
PPG0069 & Kitten45, I have to give credit to my DH because he was happy & excited to see my hair... Now that means no more wigs or weaves. lol
Aegis, you do have a beautiful hair and a swinging ponytail.
New-life, I am 5'3 and 1/2
okay no 1/2". I am 24 weeks post relaxer and officially have decided to transition. I have used BKT Tx twice and I really helps with the transitioning, but honestly I cowash everyday, or rinse my hair and apply coconut oil and wear it in a bun throughout the week and flat iron on the weekends, That's it. I DC when I feel like it and shampoo maybe 1 a month. For the 1st 3-4 months I used Megatek and wigs as a PS.
Doll-Baby, I really am not sure what happened with the henna. I had great results and I hennaed about 5x total but I started noticing bad shedding. I would comb my hair or wash it and it was coming out in clumps from the root and also breakage. Everytime I ran my hand through my hair I had hair in my hand. My nape was NL and the rest of my hair was APL and on the right side part of my head was ear length hair that broke off. Sigh... not a good look. So, I figure I had super overload of protein. I don't think I was moisturizing well with the henna.
That's when I just decided to cut it.
