My hair on the right side in the back grows faster and the texture is different.
I wish my entire head of hair was the same as that area.

My hair on the left side is fuller but doesn't grow as fast as the right side... I need a trim to even it out... I'll just wait for my mommy....

My right side actually grows faster then the left: on the front and the sides. The back strangely grows at the same pace on the left and right side. Unfortunately I have to wear head bands more than I would like to because of this :(

The front of my hair is lovely, probably 3a. The left side is fuller and the mid-back is a whole other story. Course and grows so slow, but it has the nerve to get "nappy" first. The Crows is a silent partner. It just likes to be oiled. Since, being a LHCF Member, I now know to keep that area moisturize and oil. I'm using Mega for the midback and nape. Since using mega my nape doesn't look so nappy. :)

I am experiencing more growth on my right side of my hair. Even after my Sept. 2008 Blunt all even cut. =/ My hair is still growing the same way.

I cant tell whether the left side of my hair grows slower or if it has to do with my sleeping habits. It's weird. Left side is thicker but my right side is longer. wtf? :lachen:

I really do think the variations of people's hair growth has to do with how people sleep, etc. And I figure there are probably always exceptions.

But like the people whose crown is growing fast maybe they sleep on their back?...

The people who have variations from the left or right side, maybe they sleep on their side? And one side in particular because of maybe a spouse and/or a preference to one side.

Slow growing crown, but fast growing back or mid section maybe sleeps on their stomach and/or side? I don't know if people want to let that simmer and think about that, but I think it may be a big part.

Also other little factors and things that may cause variations. Like if you have a child and you like to hold your baby on one shoulder as compared to the other... Wearing Side ponyptails... Having the window down while driving/being in the car since the breeze may be intense on one side...

I mean what do you guys think? It does sound kinda crazy, but could be true... :hair:

I don't know if any part of my hair grows faster but couple of weeks ago I had to cut my sides so that they are even with my back. I don't know if my sides were longer because of damage to the back or it just grows faster, however, now that I've cut the sides, I'm going to keep an eye on the rest of my hair to see what happens.

my nape and left side grows fastest. My crown and right side grow slowest and my hairline (front edges) grow thinnest.

my sides grow sooo much quicker than the middle. It has my hair looking like a W!!!! Part of the reason i am the same length because i'm constantly cutting ( just cut 3 inches :( ). It looks like its damaged but its really not. Just some parts grow quicker than the others.

As you can see by my pic my hair is longer on the right than on the left. I got it cut about two months ago to even it out and I am back at square one again. The right side is at least and inch or more longer. I wish I knew why. I guess its just one of those things we have to deal with.

I think my nape and crown (that's like the top part right?) well that- they both seem to be the fastest growing spots...well my crown is always longest and my nape always shoots out a good 3 inches when I shaved/low cut back there like the 3 times I ever went short. My nape struggles after that spurt then it seems my top half is like way long but then again it's probably due to the fact that I cut my hair uneven for cropped styles... I doubt hair is perfectly growing even but the rate may be what to question- I think hair generally grows about the same rate-I think it may depend on how you are treating certain spots of your hair that may be hindering retention or it growth potential if that makes sense.... :)

The center and crown of my hair does not seem to grow very much.I am natural but this area has always been the slowest no matter what I do.Currently My hair is between shoulder and APL but my crown is about 5-6 inches....:wallbash:

My right side grows faster than everything. I usually wind up cutting it because the fact that it's uneven bothers me, but I'm going to fight the urge this time.

I don't really notice which parts of my hair is growing faster. But I assume the back grows faster since it longer than the front.

how do u wear ur hair daily?

My sides seem to grow the fastest. The craziest part is that the right side grows faster than the left, and I usually sleep on the right side.

No one's hair grows in perfectly even and blunt.

If you are going for the blunt look, then you have to get trimmed/cut.... and that blunt cut will grow out faster than you'd think :yep:

Yes it's no place in particular that always grows faster or slower for me, I can look up and notice unevenness anytime and in any place... That's the primary cause of my "Scissor-Happiness"

My stylist accidentally cut my hair uneven! So one side is 2 inches longer than the other. And I have a chin length bob. lol! But my crown of my head has so much NG right. The front has a tad bit. My edges are growing back though.

FYI: do not use hair bonding glue, no matter what your stylist tell's you!

my hair growth is mostly in the crown and sides i never noticed it tilll i started relaxing my hair, after 8 weeks my growth is like a bump in those areas.

In my case it's the opposite....back grows fast, but my temples/frontline and sides are slow as heck!!!

Yep. that's for me too and I hate it... my back half is past shoulder yet not quite apl but my front half hasn't touched my shoulders at all...it grows so slow...:nono: So any length shown in my pictures are mostly the back 2/3 of my head because *(Just to let you know I'm pronouncing the "cause" in "because" as "cuz" to express my current emotion...don't ask me to explain...) well actually I don't even know why...I suppose I do handle the front more than the rest...maybe I'll give it a rest eh'?

*I just realized that that was totally random...:drunk: oh well...Submit Reply

My right side grows way faster than my left but i dont plan on trimming it even again until i at least my APL goal. It seems to me it defeats the purpose and i feel like I'm not gaining any inches because i constantly have to cut it all off.

I have the same problem, my crown and back grows faster. Wondering if any thing I can do to get my side to grow faster.
