As far as my regimine, For the past 2 & 1/2 years, just about every day, I log on to LHCF for tips and advice & have learned to do the following:
I have tried to eliminate heat as much as possible. I wash my hair 2-3 times a week. I air dry my hair (from a dripping wet state) with Dudley's PCA Moisturizer and Ego Boost on the ends. When hair is 75% dry I seal with KeraCare Essential Oils. Every night, religiously, I moisturize my ends with Elasta QP Mango Butter. 75% of the time my hair is is an octopus clamp leaving no tension or hair lines. When I wear my hair down, I use my Caruso Steam Rollers - They work wonders. There have been periods of weeks where I use them every day. No damage what so ever!
Currently (for the past 3 months) my shampoo & conditioner line is Aveda. It is costly, but I am pleased with the results. Now, I deep condition 1-2 times a month with heat. Before Aveda, the first 6 months out of the year I deep conditioned religioulsy every week for 45 min with dominican products.)
I relax every 8-10 weeks.
