I had my 1st hair trauma when the LHCF site went down

Okay so, yesterday I took out my two strand twists a month early... I went to this site when I was about to wash my hair but it wasn't working. (my facial expression---> ) So I just went ahead and washed my hair... BIG MISTAKE. I forgot to comb my hair hair out first!

I used Kera Care's Detangling Shampoo, then used hot oil, then Lustersilk's "Super detangling Cholesterol with Aloe Vera, then deep conditioned with Kera Care's Humecto Conditioner... I would have thought that all of those products would help with knots and tangles but no! I couldn't run my comb through my wet hair! not even my ends! ...Trying not to freak out... I called my stylist and she told to put a good amount of conditioner on my hair, let it sit for 5 minutes and gently detangle my hair... so i started doing that and it was so difficult. I started crying and yelling "God why me??" I really thought i was going to have to chop off my hair... When i calmed down again I called my stylist again lol... she just told me the same thing... and that i just need to be patient.

So I did... and I used Surge 14 to help with the BIG knots/matted hair. Whenever I got discouraged and thought about just getting the sissors, I just told myself "Did you work this hard to end up cutting your own hair? If you really love your hair you'll be patient." ...This took 6 hours... I'm not exaggerating at all. I stopped when all i had left was a section on the top of my head... problem was... my arms and shoulders got really tired... (they're sore today) So i just let the locs dry...

I now have soon to be dred locks on the top of my head... Should I just rewet them and put conditioner and surge 14 on it like i was doing yesterday? Is there a product that will make it easier to get it out? ...or am I doomed now that it's dry???

Sorry it's so long, but that was my first hair crisis...

And I am relieved that the site is up and running again.

Well maybe someone can recommend a conditioner with incredible slip to help? Have you gotten this figured out? That sounds so traumatizing... Did you GO IN to see your stylist?

Yeah, I'm hoping to get some recommendations. I got most of it figured out. I only have knots in a small section of my hair now. and no i didn't go in to see her. she doesn't work on mondays :ohwell:

Proclaim aloe and shea butter has really good slip, and it's cheap and available at Sallys beauty supply. the bottle is black whit and red.
also you could try the cholesterol and put too much way too much in your hair with some water that will help.
Matirx biolage detangling balme, baume demelmant works very well too. Hope you have a very big seamless comb and patience. Scurl works better than other sprayin detanglers also.
