OMG Im soooo slow... but im happy that this wasn't the cause of some type of growth aid. But we ALL know that its going to grow back. :hug2:

Well on the bright side at least u know what caused your spot so u shouldnt have any problems growing it back. I had a spot like that (its filling back in, but still sparse) near my crown and I dont even know the root cause. I thought it was a bad relaxer or something, but its happened to me a couple of other times over the past few years in the same spot so Im pretty sure its some type of alopecia triggered by stress.:ohwell:

I had my SO (who also likes bathroom action :lachen:) look at my spot for me to tell me the truth whether its bald now or not....he says its not bald but its very thin. I hope over time it fills back in completely and thick/full. It really bothers me bc the rest of my hair is super healthy and then there is this silver dollar size spot that looks like a rug now:lachen:....if I didnt laugh Id cry. I can cover it easily with the top layer of my hair but Im still self conscious about it in case the wind blows or something and it shows...so if its down I wear a headband to keep the top layer covering it and otherwise I wear styles that disguise it.

Keep me posted on what u do to grow it back and what works bc Im doing everything I can right now to encourage mine along.

Time to change your name to Queen-of-Freak don't ya think

I can't even imagine the pain you must have went through, but im sure it was more shock.

Im with the others who mentioned vitamin E and Aloe Vera, i don't think you want to go irritating your scalp. Focus on healing for now and your hair will grow in just well.

Keep us updated because i don't think anyone is going to forgt this one.

Lots of hugs and good luck :)

So since we're all laughing about this...

can you tell us what position it was so I don't make the same mistake when I get back in braids next year?:sekret:

Mine too....i hope u have a speedy recovery gurl....id say use BT too...itll grow back very soon...and pls dont cut ur hair....try to cover the spot while growing it out(((hugs)))

I agree with Scarcity21, don't cut your hair!!!!:nono: When my hair came out in the crown, do too stress. I cut all my hair off(big mistake!!!!). Just keep your SO massaging your scalp with whatever you choice to use. Also you can keep your hair in a high ponytail because you have alot of thick, pretty hair.:yep:

I'm so sorry this happened to you!!!!

I agree...I wear mine up in a clip a lot or half up half down or in a loose pinup like my avatar....no one would ever really know about my problem area. I refuse to cut and start over...Ive come way too far for that. Im layered anyway so when it grows out Ill just have it blend in with my shortest layer.

Thanks for all the love ladies.

I was thinking about cutting my hair but I'm not going to.

I took the braids out last night. The rest of my hair still looks good. if the bald spots does grow back in I can still look cut for the summer time. I will put more pics in my fotki to keep y'all update with my progress.

My SO doesn't find this funny at all, when I make fun of it he's like:nono:.

He thinks I'm going to cut all my hair off like I did when it fell out. I keep telling him I can't cut it all off because I need the rest of my hair to cover it up. He also don't want anyone to see the bald spots because they might ask me what happen and that's something you don't want to walk around telling people. No one will never know that I have bald spots. I won't be relaxing for the next year or so. I just have to find different things I can do with it until the hair grows back to SL.

That is a good idea....I dont plan on relaxing my spot either bc its growing in but thinner/weaker than the rest and I dont think it can handle a perm. so I wont be relaxing that area of my hair till God knows when. Im sure it will grow in thicker and healthier if u dont put relaxer on it until it grows out quite a bit and then the whole section can be relaxed like a virgin relaxer.

Great day!.......:giggle: I can't imagine...er ah....well at least he tried to save you from hitting the floor.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. I've had bald spots in my head before and I freaked but nothing like what happened to you. My best thoughts are with you.

When I first saw the pictures, I was like WT** happened...then got hit w/TMI..:badgirl: Anyway, glad you were having fun

I'm sure your hair will grow back with a little TLC.

Wow, that looks really bad. I'm sure it will grow back in no time and be more careful next time. I know that had to been some rough sh**. I know this my man has to keep his hands out of my hair because, I would have freaked out.

Aw. Poor baby. I accidently got my braids caught on something and ripped out a bunch. It hurt like hell but it did grow back fine. I used some neosporin to help with the sting and just kept that part of my scalp well oiled.

It will grow back. don't worry.

D, it wasn't only him pulling my hair. I lost my balance and let just say he was standing there with a hand full of braids while I was on the floor looking up at my hair in his hands. :lachen:

It's both of our fault but he feels it's only his fault. He's more upset then I am. I'm only a lil upset he is really upset. He keeps calling me to see how my head feels and am I alright. The poor man and my poor hair.

I can't see the picture, BUT, it will grow back. I will say, at least it was a GOOT accident.

Glib Gurl, you are not right!

ShynessQ:

ORS has a "Scalp Scrub" that is designed for exactly this sort of situation. You might want to give it a try.:bighug:

Shynessqueen- i sincerely hope that it grows back fast and soon. May i suggest a combo of rosemary oil and castor oil. HTH.

Shyness, I'm so sorry this happened to you, and I agree that you should try one of the growth aids in that spot. It is good that you will be able to disguise the damage with various hairstyles until it grows in.
