I think its more about being happy with yourself regardless if youre natural or not. As long as you're happy..who cares? -shrugs- swing that hair girl!

lol! I will, right now I am literally boring the heck out of my hair because it's in buns buns and more buns. lol. I am trying to get the hang out using protein now due to the obvious reasons! lol relaxer + color = need protein in my life! I NEVER used it when I was natural!

Be careful using protein. I don't have color, but I never use protein. IME it's very easy to have breakage using protein.

Your hair looks pretty. I think that's a normal amount of straightness for airdried hair. To get it straighter would require a blow dryer, flat iron, or rollerset.

Congrats and have fun on your hair journey. :)

I'm thinking about adding some products with ceramides in my regi, porosity control, and a chelating shampoo (due to the no lye relaxer)

I use a no lye relaxer and I chelate my hair immediately (or at least a few days) after a relaxer and once per month with Joico chelating shampoo.

For porosity control, I use Joico Cuticle Sealer, but I do not have a problem with porosity. Have you done the porosity test? (take a hair, put it water, if it floats, you are ok. If it sinks you have a porosity problem)

Here is a good thread about ceramides:

I need to do the test again since i've relaxed! I hope I don't have a problem. :spinning:
