On Friday November 12th @ 11pm I started cutting off my relaxed ends. I finished November 13th @ 12:30am. I like it and have no complaints. I am not overly excited as others may have been after they bc’d. I guess I was mentally prepared for it and pretty much knew what my hair was going to look like after it was cut. I cut off between 2 and 6 inches of relaxed ends. I was a half inch away from APL. L
I am glad that I am natural but I don’t have any drive to try new styles on my hair. I have a chunky twistout that I am hoping it will last a few days and I was considering straightening my hair but I don’t like spending more than 3 hrs on a hairstyle that wont last for at least a month.
I don’t think it has set in that I am natural because I have been wearing weaves or braids for so long that I am used to not doing my hair often. So I think that I will be putting my hair in mini twists sooner than anticipated. Especially because I touch my hair like every 30 minutes
. So after a long 18 month transition this is what I came out with.
My hair is around shoulder length
